@@KaguraHibachi do you think HE could read the comment to tell that he can't read???? -Potemkin main, making an astute observation before my turn w the brain cell is over
I’ve been playing since Xrd Sign and I still can’t tell what the fuck the shadow is doing, I just do my best to close the gap and not let Zato breathe for fear of the void returning amd running a train on me
Faust mains are playing warioware, we have half a second to react to what we got from the item throw and do something, the thing is that we don't know what that something is and we end up doing the weirdest decisions
As a Potemkin main I... uh... I don't... remember what I was gonna... oh well. Good video, I liked when Potemkin was on screen. I like Potemkin because he grab 8^)
As an Xrd Sol I concur. I earned the whole tension bar, I’m gonna spend the whole tension bar, I don’t care if DI won’t give me advantage in the situation, I don’t care that I’ve done this literally every round thus far and my opponent an read me like a pop up book, DI Grand Viper go brrrrrrrrrrr
If you were to take the numbers on screen during GoldDick's segment, you can see that the 47 IQ tied with the mention of the number 3, while also including the 1 extended finger of the alien friend, actually equals 51
If a Ram throws a sword full screen while I'm no where near a corner I immediately lose all respect and get salty when I inevitably get clipped by said random sword.
Normal people: “Let me get this straight, you think winning with three consecutive command grabs is ideal gameplay?” Grappler mains: “I do and I’m tired of pretending it’s not”
Me learning potemkin at first: "ok so most his moves hit hard in exchange for being slow. Alright. Maybe some short combos will work while using his long reach" Me now after a few hours of practice: "pot grab. Grab good."
Bar the breed of Millia mains who memorize one combo path and when they get read they think they got no damage and/or tools. Which are more than one might think.
@@leithazizpagy4699 And that's the point lmao. No matter the character, there's always gonna be some scrub that wants more buffs for free wins without understanding what niche (and consequently, which gameplan it follows) their character fills.
I picked up Strive *because* of Nago. Buddy told me about it and I love his design and he's super fun to play. I tried every other character as an alt but kept going back to Nago.
yep, i played him on the 1st open beta this year and he is so good. tall, BIG AND HUGE ASS SWORD? he got me right away, now i just need to get the full game 🥴
For real. People thought he was bad at first, while I was just sitting there like "nah bruh you just did 20 specials in a row and wondered why you now have super cancer"
Same ngl. I was already looking to see whether it'd be my cup of tea since I'm usually trying out whatevrr with a friend that plays tons of fighters and I just gravitated to Nago so much. Once I saw him in action I just had to pick up the game.
I wanted to play Nago at first but was intimidated by his mechanics. Went with Faust 'cause I thought he was really cool, stopped 'cause he's got those weaknesses, went with Anji and stopped for similar reasons, and wound up back at Nago but feeling more confident with the game's mechanics.
I play Zato and Potemkin, so do the 200 IQ and 0 IQ for each balance out to make me a perfectly average 100? These are the questions that keep me awake at night.
as a Chipp main, this is 1000% correct. when i'm doing offline matches and not stressed out, i can do some neat shit. when i'm online and i know my rank is on the line, i basically just fall back on 5k -> 2k -> 2d and hope my oki is good lol
as a leo starter player, i do not agree that anji is that low. but really potemkin needs to be just as low as sol. as they are just sol players but with better taste
@@zenith1040 Nago is strong once he gains momentum, he does well against Sol but literally explodes against Chipp/Axl/May/Zato. I'm not so sure people will still think he's top 5 when they realize that FD is extremely effective against his mixups. Yes he's very good, but not top 5 imo.
In all seriousness. I've played since D1 and I don't understand how people didn't see how fucking busted he is. He covers the entire screen and if he gets in with a C.S he basically wins.
@@solaireofbadciv914 .. as a Zato player ima call BS. He can hit Eddie out of literally everything but his counter from an entire screen away. Which you shouldnt be letting Zato in anyway.
As an axl/pot main my Iq averages out to 25 which makes me an incredibly smart pot player but an incredibly stupid axl player which I think is accurate
This gets even funnier considering the Chipp v Potemkin matchup, on the one hand, how can you ever get hit as the Chipp player. On the other hand, if you do, painful, agonizing 55% of ur HP Potemkinnnnn Busssaaaah
In defense of Anji mains, fujin is like the only move arcsys let him have back. Like I dropped the whole ass game when I realized they took his entire kit out of the game.
@Cristo Alba me personally, i like games like rev 2, there is so much shit you can do, just an endless mix were you either dont let the opponnent play the game, or you dont get to play the game, its frustrating at times but man, the best fighting games i played were just like that! i like strive, but it needs a little more spice, cause it can actually get boring sometimes cause it feels you are doing the same shit all the time and most players play their characters in a very similar way... too bad fg are just getting to "casual" these days
@@butteredtoast3032 When you consider that a lot of the cast's move lists have been neutered, it's understandable why he left. I still play the game, but it gets boring and frustrating being limited to just 4 good moves out of 10 of them.
When I saw I-NO, I said “fuck” since I main her. Then I saw Millia and I got happy since she’s my secondary and tbh I’m having more fun with her than I-NO.
I feel torn about Nago. I used him in the beta and have gone on to main him in the full release, but I was going to do so regardless of his actual tier lol
I bought this game and played it with a friend. We both never played a Guilty Gear game before, closest thing to a fighting game we played was Super Smash Bros. So we decided to pick random characters, and I chose Nagoriyuki because vampire samurai sounded cool. After beating my friend with seven normal hits I swore I’m totally playing this guy competitively.
I have literally never played Guilty Gear before, but apparently I've listened to Smell of the Game and Armor Clad Faith enough to start getting GG meme recommendations
Started off as a Faust/Leo main in Xrd and loved them. When strive came out, I was thrilled to see my 2 bois back in action, but then Nagoriyuki showed up and I was hooked. I play him mostly since day 1 and I can confirm. I don’t have 150 IQ since I mostly unga until I burst then panic as my health drops to 1. My friends hate how aggressive I am with him but he’s SO. DAMN. FUN!!!!
Are Gio mains obnoxiously horny or something? I'm still pretty new to GG (strive is my first and I only got it a couple of weeks ago) and immediately gravitated to Giovanna because her moveset was really straightforward and I liked the doggo stand...
