👍👍 Finally preparing mine after so long absence .. P.S. Best man saw mine last year - and after some work in Miami - immediately bought one for himself (although he is mainly a glider guy - but this baby is childhood dream for both). We already maiden his - and it is absolute beauty in the air - very precise .. Landings are also easy and beautiful - if you approach them with seriousness - it will not allow shenanigan's .. (AV8R made some very good points in his videos about scale warbird flying and landings ..)
Thank you so much Robert! I can't wait to get it into the air and rip it like you did. I even got a spare prop, but no landing edits will be made lol Merry Christmas to you and Blaz!
@@GBLynden I always have a hard time to find an old warbird from the 18th century that is not beautiful, but if you want my opinion I the spitfire, hawker seafury, and the hawker hurricane are the best British aircrafts in beauty. The f4u Corsair, f4f wildcat and in general the Pacific American planes where very beautiful, and my favourite plane is the messerschmitt bf-109
Did you ever publish a video specifically on the optional pan & tilt fpv camera system for this Avios Spitfire? The manual sure doesn’t say much about it. Thank You.
That is very impressive! Oh man what fun I could have if I had buckets of cash! Until I win the lottery I will be content to live vicariously through you and your adventures! Thanks man! Great job and great looking fighter!
Thanks brother! I am a very lucky man and of course I want as many of my friends like you to join me for the adventures. It is always more fun with more people with attitudes like yours! :)
Assembling mine now, freak'n wing tubes were soooo tight I had to chuck them up in a drill and reduce their diameter by running then through hand held sand paper 3 times, FYI, the sand paper gets hot, real hot. I didn't glue the wings together just in case I may have to replace a wing, you never know, besides, there are 2 carbon tubes and 4 machine screws holding it all together. Need a pilot figure and seat for my cockpit?
Nice done, and also a helpful video showing this awesome model Warbird. Thank you for your works in 2018 and i wish you and family all the best and a merry christmas with a happy new year 2019 with best health !!! Keep flying high, bro !!! FRANK
Thank you so much and I wish the same to you and your family Frank! I plan on flying this beauty a lot in 2019 and cannot wait to see what it can do!!! :)
Help - I need a replacement prop and they are out of stock, could also used a replacement tail wheel set and a spinner but they are also out of stock. Do you know of any other props that would work or where I can get some parts? I looked on ebay and amazon - no luck I searched on part numbers on google - no luck I acquired this plane used and have not flown it yet. The prop blades were badly bent - I've made some improvement but they still have some wobble.
The truth is, if you think you need an auto level system for this plane, it is likely too much for where you are at right now. It is a great plane, but it is challenging to fly.
That's the next level for foamies, I love how they hid the servos. I have one question/concern, does it have metal nuts and machine screws for attaching the wings or is it just tapered screws going into plastic? Great review man.
It is next level for sure and thank you! I worked really hard on this video, so your kind words are appreciated. I can't remember for sure about the screws, but I'm pretty sure they're tapered. I do remember thinking that the entire tail section fit together really well. I hope my feedback helps! :)
Hi George! Nope, I very rarely add mixes to any plane. I like to be in control of what the plane does and this doesn’t need any for me. Just make sure you have enough nose weight :)
Sorry to bug you again, but I had a quick question about the decals.... Mine are not sticking well to the fuselage at all..... Is there a technique you use to ensure that they stick once applied like heat or something? Thank you!!
You aren't bugging me at all bro! The technique I used was simple, but the recommended technique is actually easier using a decal iron. What I did was find a soft t-shirt and ordered a $10 hair dryer off Amazon. I simply ran the hair dryer on low heat just long enough to warm it up and then gently rubbed down the decals with the t-shirt. The t-shirt prevents the decals from sticking to your finger. The technique with the decal iron is very similar, but instead of using the hair dryer, you just use the decal iron on it. I have also heard of guys using a regular iron, but the one I have access too was too large for me to feel comfortable doing that. I hope my answers help :)
@@GBLynden Well it just so happens I do have a temp controlled heat gun, so I will give that a shot... The plane is just to pretty to take out on a maiden with decals falling off..... So much so I am scared to damage it....lol Thanks again

I am glad you enjoyed that line! I used to always include those in on my videos, but I am more G rated these days lol No FPV video, but it provides all you need with it. Oh and get a Y-harness for all of the lights if you don’t have one. Mine was short one.
I think I am the one that missed including that. That female plug goes to power one of the lights. Let me know if you have other questions. I am happy to help.
@@GBLynden Ahhhh, Ok, I will see if I am missing lights from somewhere. I know 2 of them as you described go onto that harness. I appreciate the quick response. I am in the middle of the build so I appreciate your vid!!
@@GBLynden Oh wow, your right, I found 2 more loose light connections. Good idea on y connector,' think i will use the y in that extra female connector on the gear wire. It is so bizarre that there's nowhere in instructions about the wiring... that's pretty silly... Thanks again!!
Hi Raul! I used a Y-harness to make it work. Be careful not to connect too many lights though. It can cause a voltage drop if you’re not careful and mess with control surface movements.
Thanks but do I connect it to the reciever, I have all channels occupied, my only connection left is the “bat” one on the reciever? And one last thing, there is another cable that I think comes out from the esc called “RVS” do you know it’s purpose? Thanks :)
I put one of the lights Y-d in with the rudder and I think with the ailerons. Play with it until you get it right. I did answer a similar question in this comments section. While back, so dig for that thread to know for sure 😀
It's actually surprisingly big due to it's proportions. Pricing is always something people will agree or disagree with it seems. In this instance, I think $350 is plenty fair for a plane with this many features at this size. Of course it is HobbyKing, so sales are possible......unless they sell out right away. That is also possible lol
