With regard to getting out the negativity, today I decided to write a letter I would never send to my previous boss saying all of the things I was thinking and feeling. It was cathartic. I think I can let that go now.

It depends on the interviewer and what kind of mindset they have. Just interview A LOT and don't wait on just one employer calling you back. One of your videos stated that I should be very enthusiastic and they interviewer saw that as an issue!

More often than not, coming across as enthusiastic is going to be perceived as a positive by an employer, but obviously there are going to be exceptions to any rule.

One concept if you talk negative to about your previous boss my boss was strict to make me work under pressure but I felt motivated to have tasks completed in time you changing from a negative to a positive

Hi Don. Appreciate your great advice. I was dismissed from my PhD program because the program director was literally a psychopath. I temporarily experienced symptoms of bipolar disorder and she saw me as vulnerable and pounched. They were abusive to me and violated the Americans with Disabilities Act 3 times; it was illegal that they dismissed me. Now I am trying to apply to other programs and have to explain what happened and no one believes me or understands. No one will accept me. They were 100% in the wrong. How can I handle this? A case of black and white discrimination that was not my fault?

If you have proof they fired you for discrimination and not for any other reason, you can have a case against them. I highly recommend you hire an attorney or lawyer to process this.

I don’t think you should feel bad about being overdressed for a job interview. To the interviewer it’s just another work day, to YOU it’s an important meeting and YOU are the one who is there to impress. I always dress a notch up than what I assume everyday dress will be.

Better Business Bureau is the #1 place to put in a bitch section/ complain about the past employers if there really is an issue going on. Health Department & OSHA are two other great places to lay it all out. NOT with the next interviewer.

J'ai 62 ans et je voulait retourner travailler ,mais il était important pour moi de trouver une job de mon choix, Tous vos conseils dans vos vidéos , je les ai compris ,suivis et appliqués et je tiens a vous en remercier .Parce que aujourd'hui , j'ai passé une première entrevu pour un poste de mon choix (en hôtellerie) au centre ville de MONTRÉAL, Québec , et en moins de 2 heures ,j'ai déjà reçu la confirmation que j'avait obtenu le poste de technicien maintenance .Je les ai ÉBLOUIT par ma présentation . Donc , Je commence lundi. YES! MERCI. I hope for you that you can read french?
