Ways to fix low t (in no particular order). Feel free to add more in the replies. 1. Filter drinking water or drink filtered water as much as possible. 2. Sweat. Particularly in the sauna. 3. Use personal care products with as little chemicals as possible. 4. Use stainless steel or glass as much as possible to avoid chemical leaching. 5. Exercise.

As a Brit ex pat living in the US, I can say confidently the food standards in the US are appalling and amongst the lowest in the western world. It is a virtual necessity to eat organic and natural whole foods only, and most of the convenience foods are loaded with corn syrup and soybean oil, unlike the UK and Europe. It’s also a necessity to install a reverse osmosis filter for all water. A sad state of affairs but that’s because all the regulatory bodies for pharma and public health are utterly beholden to back handers from corporations and therefore the system prioritise profits at the expense of American health. I'm not sure the shortage was manufactured... at least here we didn't suffer that much of a shortage. People often are just easily led to do illogical things like buy mountains of toilet paper because "we won't be able to go to the store soon because of the zombie apocalypse" (or pandemic, whatever). If you think that the shortage really was manufactured, then the important question is "what can interested parties do because of a tp shortage or _to_ tp before starting production up again?" and "How would the answer to that (those) question(s) affect the American public?"

Reading a lot of the comments and they’re great about being personally responsible for what we can do to avoid these chemicals. But the point is rather than avoid them we need to write to our representatives and have them removed in the first place so it’s easier and healthier for everyone, including ourselves. Because the battle will only ever get harder the more we avoid, avoid, avoid because there will be more and more “creative” ways to get these chemicals into things since there is no pushback. On this channel, we probably focus more on fixing the cause rather than the symptom. In this case, we’re not very clever in that we’re paying tax money to have these chemicals put in our drinking water, for example, (paying for our own demise) and then if we realize our error rather than fixing the main “cause” we spend even more of our own money in fixing the “symptom,” (buying a reverse osmosis filter at the end of the system).

Now I'm at the high 300's but still have some weight to lose, but I'm been eating better and exercising more, so hopefully the upwards trajectory continues. The worst part? Because of the way that the blood labs qualify someone as being "abnormal" (I believe it's the bottom 5% and top 5%?), I was still considered "IN NORMAL RANGE" because I wasn't QUITE low enough! Cholesterol is the grand daddy hormone, we shouldn't be f'n with it. Statins are wrong. Fix the inflammation! We don't let boys take testosterone to get big, but we freely give girls their primary hormone as a way to control birth. I'd guess that one day we will realize this stuff was about as wrong as a thing could be. Why does it seem that 80% of females over 40 have a "Thyroid" issue/concern? and a metabolic malfunction and the rates of cancer... again, we don't allow the hormone manipulation in young men or boys. I'll bet the CDC has statistics that would change everyones mind - except for those in "control". My bigger question is this, are we doing this because we don't have the actual intelligence to know ,or do "We" know and...???

What a great & remarkably under-covered issue. At the 14-16 minute mark I couldn't agree more with Dr. Jay on healthcare being a pharamceutical funnel- I'm a couple months away from graduating as a microbiologist, and at the start of my undergrad I was super eager to go on to be a physician's assistant. But learning more about it as I continued my education, it really made me sick. And to make sure that those who wish to practice medicine "tow the line", the approved education (that heavily focuses on pharmacology) has such premium price points that it would be fiscally illogical to go through a program if not pursuing the lucrative benefits that only pharm-pipeline jobs can offer. So I'll just stay a microbiologist and instead just slowly drive my family to madness as I try to drive all these awful and common toxins out of our home :) How far we have collectively fallen from "first, do no harm" to "money over morals" or "can't 'do harm' if you just feign ignorance over what's harmful".

Health care systems are even worse than just pharmaceutical influence a doctor! Is it kind of strange to have a system with 1000 providers and nurses, collectively agreeing, almost unanimously, that a certain drug for a certain pathogen, should be prescribed with no discretion or medical consideration to the patient? Why is that? Could be fear of retribution or worse yet being fired and/or losing your medical license? Do you think it’s scary to have a healthcare system go up against one doctor and decide his or her fate? Did you know these doctors have performance indicators tied to compensation?

I’m a plant-based eater, who has been avoiding soy and pthalates for many years, but was never able to put on muscle. When I hit my mid-thirties Istarted to notice very low energy, low labido, and zero motivation even to do the things I was formerly passionate about. About three months ago I started looking into various causes of low T and found out that flax seed, (which I had been eating every day for years because it is supposed to be a good source of Omega-3) dramatically lowers testosterone. I cut out the flax and have made no other changes to diet or lifestyle, and I’m already bouncing back in every way, and suddenly I’m noticing that I’m putting on muscle without even trying. I think it goes to show that you can think you are doing everything right by putting into practice all the recommendations of the health gurus, but miss one thing and still suffer, and end up blaming the plant-based diet or some other incorrect cause. You really can’t afford to get complacent about learning more.

I had an opportunity to test that foot bath therapy with the ionizer in a few different scenarios. 1: with salt water and no feet, 2: with salt water and with feet. The test was a little more extensive than that but my conclusion was that the ionizer didn't seem to be reacting to my feet, it was only reacting to what was in the water. I repeated the test numerous times with different amounts of salt and the results were very consistent. I'm not saying it wasn't cleansing any toxins through my feet, but we are told by some doctors and the manufacturer of this product that the discoloration in the water is a result of toxins coming from our feet but I found that likely all or at least most of the discoloration was coming from a reaction to what was already in the water and not the feet. If there is some valid information to show otherwise I'd be happy to consider it but so far from my experience it's claims are misleading.

I think because I pack sawdust into plastic bags, then cook those bags for 24 hours, and then handle them, in an indoor space with not the best ventilation to conserve energy costs, walls covered in cheap plastic and linoleum, plus the well water tasted like plastic. My lust for life slowly shrank and I now struggle to be productive. I had issues to the extent that I only eat from stainless or titanium now, got rid of 90% of all plastic from my house and clothing, I filter all my water, no more drinking from hoses, and I vent the sterilization of substrate far better, and am even moving it outside. Also I bought nearly every natural supplement to boost my T, which helps a lot if I consecutively take them. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to our society from these toxins, I notice the fe minimization and and even dated a girl who switched birth control that had added estrogen while I was with her, and she changed and became more fe minimum when she switched, which resulted in her seeking out a new partner at that same week too, because I was exhibiting low t behavior

So how about videos on: 1). Valid heavy metals testing (blood, urine, ?, ?) 2) How to determine the root cause of low T?

Funny how there’s no test for ‘low serotonin’ yet SSRIs are often prescribed without any real diagnosis

I have less than 300 and my doctor said it’s normal. The only issue is I can’t get past 160 with lean mass. My energy is good as well as my sex life but I wouldn’t mind a bit more muscle.

I love this! I definitely avoid plastic bottles and drink filtered water but damn, I love wearing fragrances/perfume. I do believe there are efforts to use the best ingredients from the organizations that regulate them, most of them are based in Europe. I have strayed from strongly scented body wash/soap, leaning towards ones with natural essential oils instead. This was very educational, thank you!

If you are into fragrances you probably know that a ton of reformulations of famous perfumes (i.e. YSL La Nuit de L'Homme, Creed Aventus) happened over the last few years. The adverse of fragrance ingredients (natural and synthetic ones) are under constant examination and several agencies try to ensure products which are as safe for the consumer as possible.

How disruptive are the hops used in beers to the endocrine system? I believe I read it contains "estrogen like" compounds and can wreck the hormone ratio in men.

There is also glyphosate in beer. I spoke to FDA food division about it.

My ignorant guess would be that that negative health impact of alcohol far outweighs that of hops or any other component. I went from light/moderate drinking to no drinking for the past few weeks and already feel significantly better.

Are “natural flavors” in a lot of food items also estrogenic?

The most important thing would be getting rid of it in the foods we eat. So we really need to get rid of conventional farming and go back to regenerative agriculture.

I love how products they push are in plastic containers, the very problem in the ecosystem.
