Mind pump is the only podcast ive been able to stick watching to for the long-term - great entertainment and invaluable information. Thank you guys for doing what you do
Winner! Please email ann@mindpumpmedia.com with this episode number, a screenshot of your youtube profile, and the email you would like the program to go to!
I am a bit late on the bandwagon in terms of finding you guys but since I did (maybe 2 months ago) I have been binging your episodes none stop! SO much valuable and easily applicable information you guys share on every single episode. I have changed my training a lot since and I have started to see some strength gains which I am so excited about! Definitely been thinking about buying one of your programs but haven't been able to decide which one would be the best one for me. It can definitely be hard to eat healthy when there is so much cheap and great-tasting highly processed food around all the time. I think what has helped me the most is noticing the difference in how I feel when I eat a lot of processed food compared to whole foods, I just feel so lethargic and unmotivated and yucky. Highly processed food might be delicious in the moment but in the long run, it just causes so much inflammation and excess calories. It is so much better to focus on good whole foods and have processed food as a treat now and again! Thank you again for all the amazing content guys!
Your intuitive eating guide has helped me so much in my journey to heal my eating disorder. Also, I started following the advice you guys gave in the how to lose 100 pounds podcast and it has definitely changed my attitude towards myself, food, and exercise. I have lost 10 pounds so far effortlessly and I look forward to becoming the fittest best version of myself!
My fitness journey has changed since I learned about you guys. The reason I trust what you say it’s because when I listen to your podcasts, I listen to 3 opinions from 3 different experienced trainers. Thank you for your quality content!
You guys are unreal I have officially gone down the mind pump rabbit hole past year all I've been able to do is listen to you guys at work all day and at home ! Much respect for what you guys do !💪
Speaking of renter communities- we moved to Colorado Springs and luxury ginormous apartments are going up all over the downtown area. -- I recently found your talks and Dr Gabrielle Lyon at the same time and both of you teach some of the same concepts. I would love to see her on your show! You both have helped keep get back to my goal body frame. (Still in process)
Although 40 years apart and of different genders, my son and I are on a health improvement journey together. We work out and eat meals together, but are in the process of creating individual meal and workout plans. He found your channel and shared it with me. You have provided us with so much valuable information in areas of nutrition, weightlifting, and mental health, all on one channel. This is the first time I have enjoyed learning about losing weight and improving my overall health. Thank you.
Every day I listen to Mind Pump I learn something new and I understand the complexity of fitness and health a little bit more each time tune in. Thank goodness Mind Pump hasn't been hit by Shrinkflation. They continue to be the best value out there. No BS just quality content.
The content that you guys put out is amazing but it really starts to click even more once you pick up one of your programs... I've been listening to the show for a few months now and have learned a lot... but once I bought a bundle and actually started one of the programs everything you guys talk about has meaning now and makes way more sense! Buying the program was the missing piece of the puzzle that I needed! The changes that I'm seeing in my physique already from running your program makes it all worth it! 👊
You guys helped me get out of a terrible place metabolically and I cannot believe the results I am getting. It has taken over a year but I am so excited to keep going! Thank you!
I can tell how hard you all work on this show by how amazing it is. Like they say, if you see a class of kids and they aren’t laughing, they ain’t learning. You’re making me so informed and I get to chuckle 😂❤️🥊💪🏻🇨🇦
Being obese majority of my life understanding food has been a huge challenge I did the keto, cabbage soup, Akins , so many different types of quick weight loss pills but all it gave me was a headache because of the withdrawal. But understanding what foods to eat is good for you thinking of when I order a grilled chicken sandwich I’m doing good but not knowing that it’s full of processed ingredients I didn’t feel or even start understanding better was when I started cooking and eating Whole Foods. Thank you for giving us gems and making it were can apply it
I spent years adhering to the traditional “bro science” eating chicken broccoli and rice only and doing the typical “bro split”. Only in the past year since I found this Chanel am I starting to see substantial changes in my body, mind, and overall health. This show is a game changer, thanks again guys for the wisdom 👍
Fair play guys with all your free content. On cancer thing I’ve had that poison called chemotherapy and had two episodes at start thinking I had heart attack from ingredient. I was in hospital at time so that really helped me as straight away do ecg etc. eventually we figured it out All the best from Ireland 🇮🇪
It's been one and a half year I'm cycling between MAPS Anabolic and MAPS Performance, 3x/week foundational workout, and oh boy I haven't seen any weight loss in my obese body. But that's really okay because the process is felt so good. I've never known exercise can be so fun, I'm getting strong, more confidence, my glucose and cholesterol number is decreased, my mood is more stable, and my sleep is getting well. And now finally, I wanna try to fix my poor diet, hope it will sustain. Thank you mindpump, you're the greatest! PS: Sal, where's your cool fun tshirt? I've never seen it lately
The only podcast that I routinely recommend to friends and family! Thanks for continuing to put the truth back into fitness and health advice. Have been binging episodes and finally got through my backlog and back up to date with the podcast.
I just recently found you guys after listening to the Sal interview on Brittany Luppton’s podcast. I’ve lost about 40 pounds in the past year but find myself lost now moving forward. So glad I found you guys! Looking forward to learning a lot more.
Trying to convince women to slow down and do less - prioritize strength, walk, and eat more food - has been one of my biggest challenges. Thank you for consistently putting out amazing content. I often “assign” clients one of your episode and it’s helps them to buy into this lifestyle. (1517, No Cardio Way to Train and Burn Fat is my go to!)
I respect you guys with all my heart, knowledge, and education on nutrition wellness and working out. I look up to you guys and love how you advise people with truth. Keep up the great work!
I used to go to a regular gym without a program and never saw results, so I decided to join a Crossfit gym. For 4 years now I've been doing Crossfit and while my endurance has gone up, I'm lack building muscle. Bought MAPS Anabolic 2 weeks ago and it is pinpointing some major weaknesses..
Been watching for a couple months now, i legit listen everyday now when working, thanks for all the information and entertainment guys! I mostly listen through spotify.
In Canada the housing market is the same! If you are a first time home buyer there’s no way you can buy a house. The average home in my area B.C. Is over a million. Also mortgage rate are going up too!
@12:00 min mark about sodas at dinner. In iran it was basically a syrup mixed with water. One tasted like coke and the other tasted like Fanta. And it was apart of lunch and dinner and outings. They would even go to say Red (orange fanta) or Black (brown coke) as short. Happens thru middle east.
Thank you for all the invaluable information you guys put out! I've learned so much from each of you in the 2 months I've been watching! I'm new to the PT world and I've been able to take the things I've learned right to my to clients!!
I have dermatomyositis, so the disease shredded me pretty good a few years ago. Unfortunately it shredded my muscles and I was barely able to one push-up. Good news is I’m in remission and nearly all my muscle has come back. Looking to build muscle while I can, and this time shred fat. Just finished MAPS RED and feel the strongest I’ve felt in 20 years. Thanks for giving me the tools and education I’ve needed to take control of my fitness and health.
Just entering phase 4 of maps symmetry, and I gotta thank you. This program is exactly what I needed to break through and start noticing significant strength gains. You guys have help me so much from being 230 pounds and completely out of shape to finally being in control of my life sitting at 190. P.s Long live tiny beard!
One of my favorite items from the Schwan's man was the orange push-up. We have always lived out in the country and that was our ice-cream truck, the Schwan's man
You guys convinced me to work on my metabolism and got up to 3700 cals instead of cutting from 2000 at 210lbs. I am a 5'7 male and started my cut! Not sure how to undulate my calories properly to keep my metabolism as high as possible during this cut!
I found this channel after I started working out again. Dropped 40 pounds lifting weights and I still need to lose another 40. Back then I was doing some weight training but I focused a lot on cardio and I would lose the weight but eventually gain it all back and I didn't know why. I didn't understand it until I found this channel and now I focused more on lifting weights using the major 5 lifts.
Im sooooo glad to hear you guys stress no processed foods as long term and life style necessities for health, weight loss and maintenance, its the only way! This is the nutritional protocol I advise my clients looking to have immediate & long term weight loss and health. Additives, preservatives, chemicals, all manufactured, are foreign to our bodies, and our bodies Don’t like it! ❤️ u guys
I definitely got to have my boy listen to the last live question. I've tried talking to him till I'm blue in the face stop playing video games and staying up late and get more sleep
This podcast has helped me and my wife tremendously in our fitness journey. Appreciate what you guys do for so many people. P.S. the 20 rep squats in MAPS Performance can go to hell 🤣 (so glad I just finished my last day on phase 3 - feeling great!)
Great content as always. I’m on my second time going through anabolic and can’t believe how much strength I gained. Need to figure out a way to reduce these processed foods…
You guys have been such an inspiration for me! Been listening for a few months and every episode I get a golden nugget to apply to my fitness life! ✨ Haha, and I ESPECIALLY love the stories in between the nuggets. 😆 Thanks for all you do! 🙏
Hi Team, love the content. Thought I would chuck one out there for people to consider: barefoot shoes might be the perfect lifting shoe, think Converse Chucks but with a thinner more flexible sole and a broad toes box that allows your toes to splay (much better for stability). Xero is my go to brand (currently wearing their HFS shoe) but Vivo is good too.
We all have food weaknesses. Mine is cookies. Do I binge ? No , I just moderate my intake . Don't feel go guilty afterwards. We're all human. It's all about control 👍
Enjoy the shows and applying what I hear. 20 reps of a bench press brings me back to my highschool max weight. Any recommendations for staying consistent on a week long vacation? About 5 weeks in and would hate to lose my momentum. Thanks.
My best friend growing up in grade school use to order from that Schwan’s truck! I loved going over to her house and eating the treats over there hahaha it all makes sense now looking at my fupa LOL
Mean BMI was lowest in vegans (23.6 kg/m2) and incrementally higher in lacto-ovo vegetarians (25.7 kg/m2), pesco-vegetarians (26.3 kg/m2), semi-vegetarians (27.3 kg/m2), and nonvegetarians (28.8 kg/m2). Prevalence of type 2 diabetes increased from 2.9% in vegans to 7.6% in nonvegetarians; the prevalence was intermediate in participants consuming lacto-ovo (3.2%), pesco (4.8%), or semi-vegetarian (6.1%) diets. I found you guys a couple of months and have been binge watching past episodes while trying to keep up with the new episodes. Still looking to see what program to get. I would consider myself advance in regards to health and fitness. Been training close to 20 years. I’ve done everything from CrossFit to Powerlifting to bodybuilding. I tore my bicep tendon in January and I’m trying to get back into it so that is also something to consider in what program I should get. Finally, I’m in the Air Force and Im the fitness manager for my Squadron so I’d like to get something I could use to bring out the best of my squadron. Any help or recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I remember not having ultra processed fast food for the longest time then having a Mcdonalds breakfast and just feeling like shit the minute after finishing that meal haha. Ultra processed foods become disgusting after taking a break from them.
Our family stopped drinking regular soda years ago - we got into seltzer water but now the fam likes all the zero sugar sodas. What are your thoughts on those ?
I’ve got to disagree when I was single and working construction I ate microwaveable meals for dinner a bag of chips for lunch and hydrated with soda and had no problem keeping a visible six pack.. now I’m married and drive truck my wife stays home and makes fantastic whole food meals I’ve trained consistently since I was 13 but now if I miss getting my steps in I gain weight incredibly easily
Starting my weekend off the right way. Great info and content. I agree with the data but find the new drive by governments to ban and try remove these foods from the market not right. It's all about moderation and living a balanced life. Keep up the great shows and come to the UK soon. Much love guys, never stop doing what you do 🤙
Hey guys, big fan of your podcast. But I have a question. Im entering phase 2 of MAPS ANABOLIC nest monday and Personally, I really dont like shrugs. And i see many sets of shrugs from now on.(especially on Phase 3.). I dont feel the movement well, BUT i really like deadlifting and RACKPULLS. So can I replace all the shrug sets to rackpull sets? I really want to, but at the same time im very worried it might burnout my CNS. So, I want an answer from creator himself. Will really appreciate if you answer me though. Have a nice day!
What Sal asked Doug at the 5:00 mark has already been meticulously researched, fully answered, and is literally the subject of Gary Taubes' books. Why hasn't he been on the show?
