Make sure to join us (Dr. Sean O'mara and myself) for the premiere. He announces a new way to look at visceral fat!! I tried to ask all your burning questions so if any additional clarification questions are needed, this is the time to ask! We'll both be on Tuesday at 10AM Central Time. See you then!!

I started sprinting yesterday. I usually walk the neighborhood and saw this video preview and decided to just do it. I saw Dr O’Mara’s talk at the Summit and your earlier video BUT just kept putting it off. Accidentally (because it’s been awhile since I’ve sprinted) I managed about 7 sprints of various lengths. The more I did it, the less inhibited and more pumped up I became. It actually got easier and was fun. It was dusk, I had a flashlight and traffic was light. I am a 68 year old great grandma who thanks to watching Dr Ken Berry lost 40 pounds 2 years ago AND KEPT IT OFF eating tons of fatty meat. Formerly, I was a plant based, low fat calorie restricted professional dieter for 36 years… Thank you Judy, l love your dedication and wide range of interesting guests.

@barblavy619 Just wondering, what shoes did you decide on for sprinting? I've decided to begin, myself, but have not researched shoes yet. I do run/jump/jog most mornings over rough terrain in citrus groves behind my place. And love it, bc I've got my earbuds in & playing 'endurance' tunes. But my shoes are hiking Sorrells - no padding or Arch support, but a wide toe box. My feet do well in these bc of the rough terrain, but tgey are heavy, clunky, and inflexible. Can't see myself running all-out on a flat stretch in my Sorrells.🙄 ('d trip over my own feet that way)😒 Oddly, all these health influencers who suggest sprinting don't mention anything about shoes! ...with the exception of Dr. Peter Attia who recommends minimalist shoes, like a brand called 'Xero'.

I just wanted to tell you about August Dunning, a carnivore diet advocate and a former NASA Space Station scientist. They used dry fasting to heal radiation damage, and he started applying it to his life for annual cleanses. He wrote a book about it called "The Phoenix Protocol", a good short read about what happens in the body during the dry fast and how to perform it safely. He also has a small RU-vid channel dedicated to the subject under his name "August Dunning." The research shows dry fasting is far superior to water fasting because the body uses fat for both energy and water in that state so it burns it up even faster than regular ketosis. After 3 days your body starts producing stem cells, the idea to make this short is that most people can cure health conditions in a 7 day dry fast, and the very serious conditions with an 11 day dry fast. I really belief that he would make a fantastic guest on your channel and getting this information out could help desperate people with vaccine injuries or just health problems that doctors only want to give a prescription for. This could be the greatest well kept secret ever if his claims are true. Cure yourself doing nothing for a week for free! I doubt you will have trouble contacting him, he has answered my RU-vid questions in the comment section on recent videos within a day. I guess that is the benefit (for his followers) that his channel isn't big yet, he has time to read and respond to comments/questions. I'm 66 hours into the dry fast. I'm supposed to die if I go for 6 more hours, according to what we are told😂. I intend to break fast at 180 hours. I already see my rashes from my autoimmune issues improving, less inflamed and drying up. I was doing carnivore diet before this and will be returning to it when I finish the fast.

@@rabbitgirlz4380 Sprinting on a mini rebounder can have many advantages over sprinting on concrete, including: Lower impact The soft surface of a trampoline absorbs more than 80% of the impact on your joints, reducing stress on your lower extremities. This can be especially helpful if you have arthritis or are recovering from an injury. Improved balance and coordination The unstable surface of a trampoline challenges your core stability and proprioception, which can help you train these skills. More muscles used Sprinting on a rebounder can engage up to 300 more muscles than running on concrete. More efficient Some say that two minutes of running on a rebounder is equivalent to six to nine minutes of running on concrete, giving you a better return on your time. Safer Sprinting on a rebounder may be safer than sprinting outdoors because it has a lower risk of falls or injuries. Better lymphatic circulation The bouncing motion of a trampoline can stimulate your lymphatic system more than running on the ground

Seems; something is not correct in your diet program/life style otherwise, with OMAD, within a year, person with 210 Pound is supposed to cut down at least 50 pound. In order to cut down weight and improve health: Never eat sugar and any item in which sugar is added. Do not eat rice, bread and starchy food loaded with high carb. Only 70 gram max whole wheat bread in 24 hour with OMAD (One meal a day - Fasting ~22 hours daily). Burn daily at least 300 calories by walk/exercise. Exercise has no substitute. Sleep daily at least 7 hours. - IMPORTANT Reduce mental stress - IMPORTANT OMAD= Only one meal a day. In OMAD, eat fish or beef + vegetables + 1 egg but not more than 150 gram meat plus olive oil 1TBSP daily. Eat fruits in moderation. No Banana. Eat mixture of nuts not more than 40 gram daily. Stop dairy except Good Quality of full cream unsweetened Yogurt 250 gram max/day Total net calories/day (subtracting walk calories) must not exceed 1000. If your problems are chronic; then do not expect results before 12 months. If you will follow this plan, there is 99% probability that your almost all problems will go away and you will be able to cut down about 50 pounds (if you are 210 now - just assumption) Install any good software at your PC to count total calories you take daily

I cannot understand his speech when he names the type of harmful subcutaneous fat! Edit: OK, after watching a bit longer, I think he's calling it 'deep' subcutaneous fat(?)...as opposed to 'superficial' subcutaneous fat. Oddly... have never heard anyone mention this type of 'bad' fat before! And I am tuned into health/fitness podcasts nearly every day. Thank you so much, Judy, for having Dr. Omara on, and for asking all the pertinent questions of him. (Except what shoes to wear!) With all the podcasts I've watched from health/fitness experts who suggest sprinting virtually no one talks about WHAT SHOES to wear for sprinting! 😒 I had already decided to start sprinting (But dragging my feet, lol, because WHAT SHOES???!) - especially after watching several interviews of Dr. Stacy Sims, PhD (her doctorate is in exercise physiology) She highly recommends sprinting for women - even in our 60,70,80's! (Again, though, no mention of what shoes to wear!) And, I think it would be great, Judy, if you could have Dr. Sims on your show! She specializes in women's fitness/health - and bases her data on women's health/fitness studies (which are very few & far between, unfortunately. She is hoping to change that, bc women's fitness physiology differs in signifant ways from men's fitness. However, we women are advised on our fitness goals - and have been for decades - based on men's fitness studies. AND, per Dr. Sims, 'Women are not small men.'!

Great discussion! I understand what is being said in regards to as you remove visceral fat, you will improve, but what wasn’t discussed with older people is you lose collagen and you loose that flexibility in the skin to firm up naturally so I questioned the doctor when he says things will improve in regards to facial skin sag. Please feel free to respond in regards to the lack of producing collagen in older age to tighten the skin.

I'm 73 so get what you're complaining about. Like everything it takes a bit longer when older or sicker, add them and it takes even longer. That said, if you stay with the carnivore and are not compulsively overeating you body will reabsorb the extra skin using it as a source of energy. If you fast to the point (about 36+ hours) for autophagy to kick in, your extra skin will go away quicker. If you don't believe this, go look at the photos of the holicost survivors. Even though they were skeletal skinny, every one of them had very tight skin regardless of their age.

I’m 69 years old so I plan on staying strict carnivore for the rest of my life so time will tell in regards to some of the saggy skin that I have in my neck And one spot by my belly button. Time will tell. Oh BTW, I am a amateur cyclist and do CrossFit as well as a x-elite gymnast.. , I also believe I am a LMHR with the fact that my HDL is in the low 80s. Does the relationship between back fat and visceral fat changes with race, Caucasian vs. African American vs. Asian? Also, on women, is the upper back fat the same as the “love handle” back fat?

Il@nancyj 629 If you are referring to 'upper back fat' as in 'upper' being btw the shoulders(?) , then no, that's brown fat (i.e., 'good' fat). Because of women's reproductive physiology & hormone differences from men, women narurally store fat more around the hips, thighs, abdomen than do men. Hope that helps. As for race differences & body fat, I think there may be some differences, but no clue what they might be. I do know that African Americans have denser bone structure than Caucasians. But as far as adipose tissue & the like, yes that w/b interesting to know!

There are “carnivore snax” you can buy. I tried a bag and I bought the cheapest one. And it honestly didn’t taste that good. But def nutritious. The kids might like it. Also keep in mind the snax might appear that it cost $30 a pound (US metrics here). But these meats have been dried. And over half of meat weight is actually water. So it’s not $30 a pound. It’s roughly $15. Still slightly expensive. But not as bad you think. Also “carnivore bar”. But that truly is expensive. Haven’t tried it either.

One thing he didn't address specifically but maybe you can speak to, Judy, is the way that sprinting actually triggers a release of HGH (human growth hormone). 00:19 🤔 Dr. Sean O'Mara discusses updates on gauging visceral fat, nuances of MRIs, and beliefs on diet and fasting. 01:01 🎓 Dr. O'Mara is a medical doctor, health and performance optimizing physician, and founder of an Innovative medical startup called lantu. 03:37 🍽 Fermented veggies can be beneficial unless suffering from issues like SIFO or fungal overgrowth; Judy shares signs of possible fungal overgrowth. 14:43 🤯 Dr. O'Mara introduces a new biomarker, Deep Subcutaneous Fat, as a potential proxy for visceral fat, mainly found in love handles. 17:40 ⚖ Love handles are closely related to visceral fat; correlation to disease is stronger in males but present in both genders. 22:27 💡 Having any visible or palpable love handles suggests the presence of visceral fat, indicating some degree of inflammation and disease. 24:07 🤔 Visceral fat in the abdomen correlates with fat deposits in the face, suggesting a systemic link between appearance and health. 25:26 🔄 Eliminating visceral fat transforms the body's shape, reminiscent of a leaner, teenage appearance, emphasizing the importance of reducing visceral fat. 27:27 🏋‍♀ After losing visceral fat, the body responds better to health stimuli like weightlifting, cold showers, and fasting, leading to improved overall performance. 30:30 🌱 Advocacy for measuring visceral fat as a biomarker for health, contrasting it with the distraction of focusing on cholesterol levels prevalent in discussions. 32:48 🚫 Critique of the vegan diet, suggesting the absence of meat contributes to increased inflammation, muscle myosteatosis, and potentially doubles the risk of cardiovascular disease. 36:58 🔄 Excess abdominal fat, sagging muscles, and other body changes are attributed to myosteatosis and fatty infiltrates, advocating for lifestyle changes to reverse these effects. 38:20 🏃‍♀ Sprinting, defined as maximum effort running, is recommended for its effectiveness in reducing visceral fat, with variability in sprint duration for optimal results. 43:21 🩹 Alternatives to sprinting, such as cycling, rowing, and swimming, are suggested for those with knee issues, emphasizing the importance of individualized exercise approaches. 46:22 🤸‍♂ No direct correlation between sprinting ability and overall health or visceral fat levels has been observed, but sprinting is encouraged for its potential benefits. 46:35 🏃 Elevated knee and foot during sprinting may correlate with visceral fat levels; lower visceral fat linked to better performance. 47:43 🏃 Ideal sprinting involves high intensity every other day, lasting 10-15 seconds, 3-4 sessions per week. 49:34 🚺 Females tend to have more subcutaneous fat than visceral fat; differences in fat distribution due to reproductive roles. 52:21 🍽 Fasting benefits explored: ancestral perspective, autophagy promotion; gradual, individualized approach recommended. 58:18 💡 Fasting is individualized; caution advised for those with health issues; variability in fasting approaches emphasized. 01:00:25 🔄 Fasting experience varies; challenges after two years of feeding; second-day difficulty highlighted. 01:02:17 🌐 Online community support is crucial; shared journey, motivation, and encouragement contribute to success. 01:07:30 🍞 Start by cutting processed carbs; prioritizing diet control as a crucial step for health optimization. 01:09:17 🍭 Parents' lack of awareness about processed foods impacts children's health, leading to conditions like type 2 diabetes. 01:10:15 🚫 Many parents underestimate the harm of processed foods on the microbiome, not realizing its long-term effects on health. 01:11:10 🍦 Continuous exposure to processed foods compounds harm within the microbiome, affecting future generations. 01:11:38 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Standing against processed foods is crucial for the health of one's family, fostering a lifestyle of health and well-being. 01:12:21 📸 Dr. Sean O'Mara's visuals provide a clear understanding of visceral fat and its impact on health. 01:13:09 🌐 Connect with Dr. Sean O'Mara on Instagram, Twitter, RU-vid, and his website for valuable health insights and information. 01:13:52 🤝 The discussion emphasizes the importance of individualized care and striving for optimal wellness in the realm of health improvement.
