Thyroid patients often fall victim to online scams because they are desperate for help.
To prevent this from happening to you, I've outlined several of these scams:
1. The social media video to a "free training" rip-off
In this rip-off, you'll see a short video on social media which will lead to a free training. From there, you'll end up on a phone call and a pitch for a several thousand-dollar program.
2. Cookie-cutter treatment plans
Cookie-cutter treatment plans are plans that are the exact same regardless of the individual. They are easy for the doctor to implement, but bad for patient results.
3. Advertisements for free dinners
This rip-off will offer a free dinner which is then followed up by a consult and a pitch for a several thousand dollar program.
4. Unrealistic marketing or "too good to be true" claims
There are no secret therapies or treatments that you haven't heard of, but that won't stop people from trying to convince you that's the case.
There are only a handful of things that are guaranteed to help you feel better and those include lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction.
If you want to learn how to improve your thyroid naturally, check out this video next: • Hypothyroidism Diet Ti...

Get away from fluoride as well. Fluoride in the water is the only reason I can find for my thyroid issues. Once I moved out of the city and got on well water I did not have to take my medication every day. I plan on getting off of meds completely. Now I just have to spot all the hidden fluoride in food and products. If you have hypothyroidism try eliminating fluoride from your life and see how you feel, it takes about 6 months to see a difference in blood work, but for most people, it works.

Not disputing fluoride as a possible cause but I grew up in Utah. No fluoride in the water. Mine stopped working when I was 18. Plus my mom was obsessed with natural toothpaste with no fluoride. Still got hashis and horrible teeth. Despite my siblings and I brushing religiously, we all have a mouth full of fillings.

Right. Make your own toothpaste, because it has flouride in it. I make mine out of coconut oil, clove oil, baking soda and just a little 3% hydrogenperoxide and my teeth have gotten whiter and way less sensitive to acids and cold beverages

@flatripley yeah, flouride is just one potential cause of Hashi's, not the only cause. For some people who have eliminated all other possible triggers- flouride ends up being the hidden root behind the disease, as it's incredibly damaging to the thyroid and other systems longterm. (My Hashi's is a combo of job-related parasite exposure in my 20s, severe mold exposure several times throughout my life which I am now very sensitive to, an unnecessary and botched root canal that was unknowingly infected for 10 yrs, and flouride. The root canal was the trigger that started my antobodies count.) And- tooth decay is also a myriad of factors. I stopped using flouride toothpastes over 20 years ago. I don't use mouthwash. I don't use any fancy tricks like oil pulling. I only brush twice a day and don't floss as often as I should. Oh..and gross, but, I went the first 30+ years of my life without getting a dental "cleaning", and have only had 2 dental office cleanings in the last 4 yrs. I'm almost 45. Yet, I've had one very small cavity that they basically just scraped off, in over 20 yrs. The root canal I mentioned was scammed by a dentist who should have just replaced a filling from my only significant cavity. Had that filling 10 yrs. It fell out. The dentist convinced me I should get a "preventive" $2k root canal instead of a new filling since that filling would only last another 10 yrs. Instead, that root canal began a 10 yr health decline til I finally had the tooth pulled by a dentist who said I did have a mild chronic infection leeching into my system. My health did a 180 within weeks. Genetics, and other vit/mineral deficiencies play a huge role in dental health.

This is the first time I''ve heard you mention Red Light Therapy. I purchased a red light for the thyroid and started using it on 5-4-24. My TSH was 2.1 at that time. I kept using the light daily and had my TSH tested on 6-5-24. It dropped to 1.5. It appears to be working. There's a double-blind placebo-controlled study that seems to prove the therapy can continue to work for YEARS AFTER the therapy has ended. I will have my TSH tested again in the future. My rT3 to T3 also improved by a little over the same period. If I could make it outside regularly, I wouldn't need the light. Please do a video on light therapy. I'm not affiliated with the company, but I purchased the "Quad Wave". It has LEDs with 4 different wavelengths.

I have been taking Armour Thyroid for several years. My PCM does regular blood tests on a continuing basis. Recently, I had a CT scan of my neck, which discovered a node on my thyroid. They did an ultrasound that didn't tell the doctors enough. So they sent me for a biopsy. The biopsy didn't find any cancer. Now, they will be monitoring the node to make sure it doesn't start growing. Luckily, I haven't received any invites for special thyroid "treatments ". I have seen presentations for free cures for other conditions that string you along. They never provide the free cure, but at the tail end, they offer expensive supplements. This is very similar to what you describe. Thanks for this video.

I have been on 180 armour for years. I just started hormone therapy and feel like I am more sensitive to my medication and now it is too much. Heart racing and dizzy, could this be the case? Thank you for all of your information. Love your videos.

Just wanted to share one more simple thing that is working for me. Low iodine. I am following a very low iodine protocol (basically eliminating all iodine sources for the first three months. And then allowing only very minimal ioidine sources after that. And no iodine supplementation at all). I am starting to feel my thyroid kicking in for the first time ever. I am two months in to the protocol. I have tried everything and this simple thing is finally working!
@2196logan
@2196logan 2 дня назад
What are you doing to eliminate iodine? I don't take any supplements that contain iodine so I am curious what else do you do? Then when you add it back in, what are you taking to do this? Thank you.

@@2196logan I am following the book Thyroid Reset Diet by Dr. Alan Christiansen. To give a quick overview, common sources of iodine are salt (even pink hymalian salt, Celtic sea salt is the only iodine free salt) and all processed foods. I am vegan, but I think things like dairy and eggs might contain iodine too. The book explains everything in detail and gives complete lists of foods. There is compelling scientific research that shows like 80% of us can regain full thyroid function by reducing iodine and keeping iodine in a very small amount.

So is that why there's mega doses of iodine? I remember that month was working well It's probably it!
