If you didn’t see the Instagram post comments, Rob posted this an hour early so a guy could watch it on his lunch break. Rob is a true man of the people 💯
Except for the wall behind the car - complete with fans, that will "broadcast" the sound of the motor in *that* direction... Nicer for the operators I'll grant you...
@@KalLanPIDT Agreed! Only excuse is if it's a cheap junkyard throw away engine making ALL THE BOOST, Because Yolo? They will be throwing it away soon without a filter.
@@liamdeckerthill2747 insane doesn't begin to describe what that car will be when he sends it for real and is actually chasing power. At 25-30psi he's going to somewhere north of 2000 hp. Especially with all that fuel pump left
Yeah, no, Daddy Dahm is a great guy and all, but I can see the potential for a lot more hurt from not remembering to take the cover off than to not put it on in the first place. Maybe stick on a grate or filter that can stay on.
I’ve been keeping tabs on this build since the first pictures of the chassis and body sitting on fuel drums. So good to see it on the dyno and hear it at full chat. Amazing build. Great job. 👍🏻
This made me so happy. I've been following this forever just waiting for the dyno video. WELL worth the wait. Now I will patiently wait for some street pulls.
The best part is all the doubters are gonna be eating their words lol at least now whoever said he'd never get it even running, let alone do a dyno pull
Daniel G people really seem to forget this build has a lot of world firsts and innovations coming from a guy who learned everything on his own at first 👍👍👍
@Toby N. Who needs a turbo? The 4-rotor RX-7 is already crazy fast without one, and not really driveable unless you go AWD or forget about trying to fit it in a specific class. My best experience was with an A-class 4-rotor RX-7 in Forza 5. Later games changed the ratings again, making the setup that worked to make the car RWD drivable in that game's A-class non-viable in the later ones. And then there's the sound. Massive downgrade after Forza 5. Sounds like running the car inside of a tin can in Forza 6 and up
I have never commented on a video but this is probably the most incredible piece of engineering I have ever seen. It honestly makes me shed a tear of happiness. I can’t wipe the smile off my face
This has made me love rotary motors, I've never really played much attention to them, but watching this car be built has given me a new respect. I think I might know what type of engine is going into my next project.
@@natef4240 the Lamborghini is like 150k, the corvette is salvaged and the FD is like maybe 20k, he also leases the shop space. his tech business is arguably pretty high so ill re-evaluate it to about 50% his net worth lmao
I’ve never really liked rotary motors. But when I heard the four rotor was coming together the first time I had to tune in. And now this, it’s phukking insane and sounds beautiful. The flames out the side from the exhaust are absolutely perfect ❤️ I watched the rebuild also before the dyno and was hoping everything would come together and just work properly and I’ll be damned if you didn’t do it, so happy for you 💯❤️ Amazing build. 👏👏👏👏👏
It always amazes me the pride you can feel for something and someone you’ve never met and will never likely meet. We all invest time in the videos, and seeing it making jam after so many ups and downs. Man today’s a good day.
Glad things are working out for you today. Also glad the trucks working for you. Upgrading from a midsize to a heavy duty with the diesel was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am just to hard on little trucks with where I live and what i do. Don't forget to take a step back and enjoy the moment while your doing this stuff. Its to easy to get caught up with that list of goals and not take the time to appreciate what you have achieved.
Even more awesome and inspired than this build is Rob's enthusiasm and drive to push ahead against all odds and obstacles, accomplishing thousands of details large and small - and we get to watch and hear this beautiful machine because he gets the cameras in there.
Major props Rob. I definitely NEVER had ANY doubt in my mind 😅 but seriously this is one of the coolest cars out there. Well worth the wait and troubles, can’t wait to see it fully done.
Yo rob, I'm just some random guy but I've been watching you build this 4 rotor and this is %100 honesty, your build has inspired me so much and has shown me anything is possible. Cant wait to see it in the burn yard hooning it up🤘
opening vid: me: "WOAH!!!! look at how smooth it sounds" *4rotor finishes pull* *flames shoot out* "WOAHHHH!!!!! LOOK AT HOW AWESOME ITS A FLAME THROWER"
This is years in the making. I still remember the days when you were getting the car 3D scanned to make body panels. And the chassis being built on the table.
I’m so excited now ready to see them high high awhp pulls. You deserve it my friend you guys have worked so hard on this build and I can’t wait for you to shut the haters up... you turned a V8 guy into a rotor fan...thanks for the videos
Man, I've followed this thing from the beginning and I'm so stoked to see it on a dyno. Also, thank you Rob for releasing this early so I could watch it on my lunch break
Has to be one of my absolute favorite builds, especially in the last 5 years. That's really saying something. Just beautiful, over the top, clean... gorgeous build
I've never seen soundboard in a dyno room!! Lmao but it's about dam time we see this thing running I bet it was such a relief! I've been following this build since day 1
@@zstrode.8953 Believe me, this stuff soundproofs pretty damn well. Of course, it won't be 100% effective because the room isn't fully enclosed.. But the acoustic foam absorbs soundwaves so they can't bounce around creating echo's and amplifying sound. They won't kill the sound completely, but lessening it from say 120dB to 90dB will make a big difference. Especially to neighboring ahops.
I followed you since you got the 3rotor, at the time I was building my 3 rotor..loved all the videos, but seeing this animal ..really makes me happy..thank man!
Man I cant believe the 4 rotor is finally on the dyno, Rob its been a rollercoaster ride of emotions from the first time you said this was being built till now. Truly the most satisfying content on earth seeing it run in boost and 4 wheel drive. Truly massive congrats Rob for never giving up!!!!
Im so happy for him now..... this is HUGE I mean stand in his shoes hes been working on this shit for YEARS and it took years because he did it RIGHT, Not fast. Everything from here is SO SOOOO easy compared to what hes already done. This car is on its final step and if I was him I would be crying by now. Congrats Rob! You fucking did it dude!
Dude! It was on a MISSION! Once it hit boost it is ripping. The crazy thing is he said it does 70 in first and that’s a third gear pull. That’s probably 60-155mph in third. That took like 3 seconds. This car is going to be stupid fast.
@@alphazuluz the fact that the gearing is 1:1 in first gear is nuts most cars don't hit 1:1 till 3rd to 5th gear, I am amazed they can get it to drive without dying when they start to roll
Been here since it showed up at sema years back, rob is finna blow up after he start getting lambo kills, 20psi would easily crush the streets. What a ride this has been to see it nearing completion! Congrats rob dahm, visionary/youtube genius. 4 rotor awd nuff said.
I was grinning ear to ear this entire video... and then i saw the pull with boost at then end and holy shit, I am SO excited. Awesome work man, i can’t wait to check this out in person some day.
This has me siked. Can’t wait to see the finished product. Huge congrats to rob and his team. Hopefully I can’t do my FD like that someday. Car is beyond sick.
