I feel like some of those V8 miata rail braces would do this car some good to stiffen the chassis a little more. and protect the rails.

Damn now that trunk looks perfect! I think a little bit of weatherstripping in the gap between the trunk and the radiator shroud would make it look great.

FOR FUTURE reference. Whenever you have the opportunity to touch the insides of your frame rails, always try to clean the insides as much as you humanly can. Metal brushes on flexible shafting on a drill, anti-rust substances, anything. You'll save yourself a hassle. Once you're done with those, give the insides a good clean using some hose attached to a vacuum cleaner. Don't bother patching for beauty, that's a waste of time. Patch over the hole, preferably using a large overlap. You'll want to have both spot welds (using a drilled hole in the patch piece) and beads on the edges. Once you're done, and the area is cool, drill a few holes in the rail and sneak the smallest high pressure can that allows you to spread bar chain oil. A day after, weld those holes back up. On the patching, in frames, patching in the hole has less structural resistance as opposed to patching over the hole. You have to think about it this way, which is more effective when you want to pull someone up, pulling them by their slippery hand, or grabbing them up using their belt or snaking a hand under their arm? Not the perfect analogy, but the idea is that stresses now pass directly through the bead of weld, which is now a dissimilar metal to what you have around it. Some may say that on a car, that doesn't really matter as much, but personally i'm of the adage that if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. Plus, it's under the car, so nobody will care if the patch looks weird.

You should make wide bottles flares for this, like the ones they use on some trucks.

You should put some type of net in the trunk below the rad so rocks don't hit the rad

Get yourself an abrasive infused fiber wheel for your bench grinder. That's what we use to deburr all of our aluminum at work in the cnc shop.

You could always throw some chicken wire/mesh over the radiator to give those fans a little more protection. Looks great!

Some black or color matched door trim molding protectors around were you cut out that trunk lid, Would make for a cleaner look then just bare metal edges.Maybe around the front of that hood scoop aswell

Just a fyi even with the weld though primer on it the welds are still bare look into 3M cavity wax with the long straws you can put a wax coating inside the rails like OEM
