Finally allowed to camp in Ontario, I head out for an Awesome Algonquin Solo Canoe Trip. In Part 1, I head from Rain Lake to McCraney Lake and enjoy paddling and portaging alongside lots of beautiful scenery. I check out a bunch of campsites, before settling on the perfect one, but then find out I'm not alone. I also prepare a tasty dinner and make something I've never had on an adventure before. I hope you enjoy my first backcountry trip of 2021. The series is full of stunning scenery, encounters with the dead and the living, delicious food and lots of laughs and exciting moments.

Sometimes YT's algorithm recommends some really good and not so good content, I'm glad I had your channel as a recommendation! Refreshing to see a content creator turn the camera towards the scenery vs focused on themselves 99.9% of the trip, plus your lack of YT music is very much welcomed, I'd rather hear the birds, the wind across the mic vs filler music.

Sorry if I commented previously, this is the 2nd time watching this video. We had exactly that same site on the Island on McRaney. The 2nd & 3rd evening, we had a Wolf Pack howling on the western shore, and a Moose run through the site 7-7:3 a.m. (maybe fleeing from the Wolves?). It's the very 1 st time I saw a Canoe Cart in use.

Whoa crazy footage of the loon Christina. The things you see when in the backcountry eh? Looks like a great little adventure, big thumbs up from some fellow creators and adventurers!

I did that trip with hammock friends couple years ago on the south island site. Awesome nighttime thunderstorm!! loon popped up beside me on my solo paddle out and scared the bejesus outta me - and the long portage out it stormed with thunder and lightning the whole way so used my canoe for an umbrella - Great memories. Looks like the park got a little scruffy too without the traffic. Prob good for it.

PS. Loon,s and duck,s usually rest one of their feet on their back when they can.......you make them safe and calm 👍😉😃
