A bull elk bugles at dawn, then intimidates his rivals by tearing up sagebrush with his massive antlers. All the while keeping an eye on nearby cows in his harem. Watch in HD.

His antlers are longer than his body, and as he tears up the sod to show off his strength and energy the female walks by not even noticing heheheh. She's got stuff to do.
I wonder was this elk bugling in the spring? My experience listening to elk is in Pennsylvania where they bugle in the fall and birds are not singing. When I heard birdsong on the soundtrack I wondered if it was added. The reason is: The birds singing in the background are warblers that arrive in early May, sing in May and early June, but stop singing in July.

Literally me, i was camping on the side of the road in jasper Alberta and was woke up by a huge Male bugling outside my van. He was calling all night our there and it took me awhile to realize that sound was a lifeform, and not the nearby train tracks squealing. Was awesome
Dead ass I was camping in Utah and heard this noise, thought it was some kinda bird and went to sleep. My girlfriend was like that's too loud to be a bird. 9 months later I find out on RU-vid that's what an elk sounds like 🤣
I would be epic to ride these in battle. Just think about it. The enemy is taking over the battlefield then in the distance they here an elk bugle and see a pack of warriors riding on massive elks with their swords in hand ready to slay the enemy.
@@mary5292 You must understand hunting isn't just going out and killing, it's getting a chance to observe an animal in ways most don't get to. It's getting a full appreciation of the animal, and it's ecosystem. Which us, the hunters, are an important part of. BOOM!!!
Imposante Tiere. Der Ruf klingt ja eher hoch und schrill, dachte eher, daß die tiefer röhren. Super Aufnahme 👍👍👍 Zu nahe kommen möchte ich ihnen aber lieber nicht.
If I told you there's a large animal with a set of long forking spines that makes chilling screechy loud sounds you would think I have been on an alien planet.
God dammit Illinois only has deer, coyotes, and other small game! We used to have a wide variety like bear, wolves, cougars, elk, and the majestic American bison. But we just reintroduced bison into our state, we are considering elk populations, and cougars are migrating here!
Hi there! My brother was wondering if he could get a hold of you to ask about using this video for their school promotion stuff. They are the Elks, so he wanted a really cool looking elk to finish out the video. Thanks!
Great footage but the framing was a little off :( Nonetheless, the colors and the focal length are great in this clip (you must've used quite a nice lens for that I reckon?) And WHERE was this shot??
