Thanks for the review! One thing I'd add is that the controls are adaptive. So, for instance, the tone knob uses different frequency cutoffs for its mid-scoop, high- and low-pass filters based on analysis of the sample. This keeps things from being set up, for example, where the low-pass cuts off all of the hi-hat.
I'm unable to use any dropdowns here, it just flashes and doesn't let me see it properly, let alone pick anything. Considering it's in beta, is there any fix on the way? The plugin looks amazing but I can't use it like that. ಠ╭╮ಠ
@@nitroanilinmusic Could you give us more details? What do you mean by drop downs? The right-click menus? What host / platform are you on? (We haven't had any reports like that so far.)
Thanks for sharing - it strikes me you could load non-drum samples in there as well. I often have recurring guitar patterns and it would be nice to trigger from something as simple as this.
I'm glad I watched this video. I tested this plugin two weeks ago and missed some important features. This Tuning option for instance - what a time saver!
The first time I see what a tone control actually does! How very nice of the coders to demystify this 😄 This thing would be perfect if it also had round robins and the option for triggering different samples based on velocity (three would be enough for a start). Great find either way!
Llevaba mucho tiempo buscando algo así para tener en Reaper.Perfecto para mis necesidades. Muy agradecido x todos tus vídeos y darnos a conocer más sobre Reaper.
@@TheREAPERBlog We kind of bit off a bit too much for the upcoming release (should have broken it up into a few smaller releases), but we've got it penciled in for December 4th. The upcoming release primarily focuses on stuff for creating and maintaining kits (includes a sample browser, makes it possible to reorder pads, shows the pad names in the Reaper MIDI editor, and has some features targeting sample pack creators). The most requested feature at this point is editing start and stop points, so that'll be the focus of the release after this upcoming one.
If anyone needs something a bit more advanced (and free) I'd recommend TX16WX. Pitch and filter envelopes, loop transient slicing and various other features. Just be sure to RTFM before asking for help on the forum. They're not as forgiving as the Reaper community.
Yup that sampler is great. Only for drums i'm happy theres finally a pad based one because you want something quicker and stripped down for drums often
Thanks for reminding me to test this freeware! It looks very promising. That being said, since I discovered R5K MPL, my life is soooo easy!! In two clicks I set up a drum rack, with one click I can send a sound to its own track so I have entire control on it. I love how fast I can now setup everything.
@@DecomposerMusicSoftware - yes. and that's great. now if the multi-eq thingy could be actually switched to a real eq, this thing would be probably only use sitala for my electronic drums. to me the multi approach doesn't work most of the time.
@@broklanders4730 It's always a bit of a balancing act since the distinctive feature of Sitala is its simplicity, yet naturally there are additional features folks would like to have. It's unlikely that we'll add a full EQ in the near-term future (since a proper per-pad EQ would take up about half of the interface), but Sitala does support using a separate output for each pad, so if you find yourself needing a more powerful EQ, you can add one to that pad's output.
I like how this is stand alone too and I can curate my own drums kits and save for later sessions, which can often get derailed because ill end up curating drums to fit lol
Good program, but it's got some problems. It crashes whenever I try to load a "stored" kit I made. I also cannot use two instances of this plugin at once (on multi-tracks)... I'm using REAPER. EDIT: After initially trying these things REAPER crashes, which I then rebooted and now these options work for me. :)
Looks great ! If there is the possibility to compile it to work on XP system... I'm sure that there are Reaper users that still are using XP machines for good reasons (old synth editors, SCSI transfer with samplers, etc), I'm one one them. Please, no call for Win 10 updating in replies..
1. There is no way to adjust start point of the sample. 2. It's impossible to play drum fills as there is no polyphony so any subsequent sample trigger mutes immediately previous sample.
Hi there. Great little program. However, I' m unable to remove it from my computer. I am on Mac/Mojave and have tried deleting it using "Trash Me" but with no success. It shows all files removed, but when I open Reaper/Ableton, the plugin is still there and functions. I have emailed support at Decomposer, but thought I would try here as well, given I discovered Sitala via this channel. Cheers and thanks.
Hello! I installed this plugin, but I don’t know how to direct each sample to a separate mixer channel. And how to add my samples folder so that the default samples folder of this plugin is not deleted? Tell me. Please.
Insert virtual instrument on new track… double-click Sitala Click Yes in the popup in Sitala click the ... button at the top right Audio Output, 16 channel output Not sure about where the sample folder is saved. I would just drop samples from explorer/finder
Love the plug-in. Downloaded it before the extra controls were added. I do have a question, is there a way to "choke" the samples? Meaning if I have a kick hitting close that the second cuts off the first?
is there any other sampler that allows you to select a folder like this? Please tell me. Because that feature very useful. But this sampler is very basic
Anybody know how to get Drag and Drop from Reaper to work for Sitala? (Option + Command + drag which works on a bunch of other things)? I managed to get drag and drop from the media explorer working but not directly from the arrangement. Any ideas why this is?
hola gracias por tu aporte, sabras como puedo hacer para que el sample suene continuo sin tener que dejar presionada la tecla del teclado midi para que grabe, ose que con un solo click me grabe todo el sample? saludos
It's barely usable for me. Any dropdown menu glitches out so i can't see/use it, for some reason it only installs the x86 version despite me checking off the option. I think I'll wait for it to come out of beta to see if it improves. Too bad since I really needed a simple Reasamplomatic5000 alternative.
Is this on Windows? We haven't had any reports of glitches (and Reaper / Windows is our most common platform / host combination)? When are you seeing these glitches?
Thanks Jon! How did you set Sitala for multichannel routing? I've created a new track with Sitala on, right-click on the vst and then on "build multichannel routing for output of selected FX", Reaper creates 16 new tracks already routed, but every sound is still coming only from "output 1"...thanks in advance!
I’m running into the same issue. I can get the 16 tracks to populate after clicking 3 dots & “use one audio output per pad” is checked, but then 16 tracks don’t record. (I tried arming them) Just the main one with the plug on it. Any advice?
buuuuuuuut if you did want to record audio out of those tracks you'd have to set the record mode to Audio Output, instead of input. Find the option by right-clicking the record arm button on a track.
hello, can you tell which wire green color is plugged into your akg headphone ? 🤔 i get the same but i need often to change that wire with bad quality... thx
Cant install it on my offline studio computer bcuz of their ridiculous auto update crap. Hangs up right there. Looks like a great plugin. Too bad I can't install it because of their BS.
Hm ... This is wired. No internet connection should be required. Would you mind specifying what the exact problem is and maybe send a screenshot? Preferably to info@decomposer.de. Thanks!
