I love the philosophy you have about stewardship of the land! Thanks for the great videos! My daughters and I have really enjoyed watching them and talking about farming and Sweden, where my wife's grandparents are from! We hope to also have a farm/homestead someday, and your videos provide a great picture of life on the farm!
One of the only pieces of equipment i do not like running. I had a branch with a good bend it go into a chipper once and the chipper spun it when it went in. Swung it around broke my nose and knocked me clean out. It was not a good day, lol. Glad i found your channel it is very relaxing to watch much like Wranglerstars.
Hi. Thank you. Oh my, sounds like a very unpleasant experience. I have had a branch be pulled in violently a few times when it hit the blades and it swung around giving me a good hit on my legs. These machines develop a lot of energy.
That sucks. I do watch people handling equipment sometimes and wonder why they're still alive. It's never an egregious error - maybe something as simple as standing next to the chipper instead of at the end of the piece of wood where you can't get hit in the face. But it's not like someone says "I'm gonna get hit in the face today" - they're just trying to get the job done. But now I bet you never stand next to the chipper.
Thanks for taking the time to set up the various shots in your video. It certainly helps it be more visually appealing. keep up the good work and congratulations on your channels success in such a short period of time.
Awesome wish we would've had one of them at our home. During wind storms so many trees fell and we had to chop them up by hand and pull to road. Than a local farmer would cart them off. We kept what we could use for firewood too. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
My wife and I use the wood chips for mulch in our flower beds and garden to lessen weed growth, and they also help to hold in moisture. then after a few years they break down into beautiful soil. works great. love your videos, keep them coming.

I know chipping the wood make it look nice. Here in Canada there is a practice that you leave the brush piled. This serves as nests for birds and home and protection for small animals. This might be the b.s. that gets spread by the big logging company so they don't have to clean up their mess. Anyway it is a though with some merit. At any rate the way you guys work the land there is lot of woodland left for wildlife. You do a real nice job which I like to see. I am a small scale logger who takes great pride in what he does as can be seen on my videos. Thanks for sharing your great videos.
Good video. I am a new subscriber, from the Canary Islands and the U.K. I came from the Wranglerstar channel. I have used a petrol engined chipper in the past. I was interested and impressed to see how yours was built. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Would like to know more details about the chipper. You only mention that it is Polish made. Could you please share more details; brand, model, etc.? Thank you.
That is a serious wood chipper. I sure could use one of those. :) It is so nice to see your devotion to good stewardship. I admire your dedication to both safety and the long term health of your forest. By the way, your videos seem very professional: well shot and well edited. Very impressive.
Great video, very well done and very nice chipper! I agree with your views on being stewards of the land and managing your forest, I think that is very important. I subscribed a couple of day ago and I have some catching up to do :) Keep up the good work.
Preis geht aktuell eher gegen 3000€ (2020).
Nice tractor, it looks a useful size for a homestead. I'm looking forward to seeing you dismantle the Aspen. The boots you are wearing, are they Meindl Airstream?
I have a 25 acre homestead in North Carolina and have been enjoying your videos. They are very well done and you always seem competent in what you are demonstrating. My question is, what kind of work pants are those? Carharts are not holding up very long.
Do you chip everything? I have a small farm that I do a lot of tree work in as well. I'd like to chip everything as it seems to make things look neater, but I am told I should leave brush piles for small animals to burrow under.
When you bought / moved to the farm did it come fully equipped with interiors, hardware and animals? I.e what was included and what was missing? (perhaps all together a separate video...)
The farm was way run down. Broken barns, old stinky farmhouse, no animals, overgrown pastures. We renovated the house, built some new sheds and stables and are still not done with fixing up old buildings. Some we even tore down. We opened up 15 acres of overgrown pasture. It was like a jungle. There were no machines or animals. Right now we are trying for the first time to make money off the land and live off the farm.
That explains the second lever you engaged next to the seat. I was wondering about that. The chipper is pretty impressive considering the low RPMs it operates at.
En huggskiva med 4 knivar är betydligt tyngre att driva än en med 3 knivar, där motorn hinner varva upp i pauserna mellan ingreppen. Och produktiviteten är knappt högre alls speciellt vid låga effekter.
Looking to purchase a similar piece of equipment. We are in the process of logging the property, and want to also clear the excess brush... looked at a unit this past fall at a logging show with a price tag of 2k $$$ new. My mid size tractor only puts out 14hp @ the pto shaft. Three cylinder engine... What size motor are you running on your tractor...Chief
My parents moved here from Germany to start a new live of homesteading. Later both me and my brother met our future wives from the US. Me in Germany, he in Spain. Haha, crazy. The world is small.
We have an undeveloped property of 1.6 acres. We could put a chipper to good use . . for years. Could you give a link to this chipper please? Thank you.
They got their own website (but only polish version) and they has also own sales inventor-mokobody.pl/kategoria/Rozdrabniacztarczowydodrewnazawieszanynaciagniku,1 For those not fluent in polish my advice is to start with email (adresses on their contact page inventor-mokobody.pl/action/contact ) with request for english spoken salesman.
