OMG you have my heart racing! Currently here in Alaska, the fishing season is all but over, all we have remaining is a few 50-100 lb Halibut laying on the drop offs about 100 yards offshore in Resurrection Bay, NOTHING like fishing the Jetties like I use to do down out of Southwest Pass, Venice Louisiana, and along the Florida & Carolina Coast! Thanks for the rush my friend!
You are maybe the best jig fisherman around. The main reason I enjoy watching you fish is like the bottom sweeper jig. I have been fishing for sheep head my entire life and have always used a egg sinker and heavy leader. Thanks for the tips
Pretty good day.... I guess the hell so. I do not have jetties here in SW Florida but need to find them. Elias you are a STUD! Damn good job as always.
Love watching you catch sheepshead. Would love to catch one someday. I tried a couple of weeks ago when I was in Virginia Beach. You make it look easy.
Good day, warm water ... we're envious. Next time you run out of Crabs, a few Fishbite Crab Chunks in the tackle box couldn't hurt. They're really tough, so the "little peckers" can't tear them up . ( I'd suggest pre-puncturing a few with a Diaper-pin. ) They're about the same size as the Crabs you've been using, and a clip of the "tail" might match the profile. The color is always White.
Absolutely awesome day of fishing! what part of the tide were you fishing? It looked like the bottom or top of the tide/ I couldn't see any tidal flow/ That is normally the worst times to catch fish. Just trying to learn.
That jbraid x8 is awesome line and at an amazing price to boot, I have 10, 15, and 30lb(30 is multi color) and love all 3 sizes that I use. I've used powerpro, sufix, sufix 832, the entire Fins lineup, fireline, tuf line xp, and yo zuri braid. Out of all states above I like the Daiwa Jbraid the best and I believe it's one of the cheapest if not the cheapest out of all that I've used. Highly recommend anyone trying it as I use it for both salt and fresh water angling
Are you using an anchor there to keep your drift under control? If so what weight? I'm finding myself getting pushed around in some of the faster current creeks South of there.
Yes. He explains in several videos as he's catching them that his freezer is full. Sometimes he'll keep a few for a fresh dinner. But usually he's good about conservation.
See my comment above, it's honestly my favorite line. It all comes down to the size of fish/angler capability/rod and reel selection etc. Along with all the other variables such as fishing from land/boat/surf, the amount of structure in the area and everything else
@@EliasVFishing for real. I never had it too bad in New England but I knew others who did. I still cringe thinking your convos with strangers are going to devolve into machete waving. Thanks for all the hard work.
