The thunderstorms last week sucked! Stayed in Kure Beach with intentions of heading out 4 or 5 days. Only got out twice, no luck though. Glad to see someone caught something!

I'm in Central TX and love the Gulf Coast fishing here but the sizes you are catching makes our fish have a size complex and you areN'T even fazed by your catches!! I know man! I'm from East Texas so we have great lake fishing, but far from the coast 5.5 hours. And in my opinion, Galveston is such crap compared to anywhere else in number and size.

I really liked this. I think I really like the multi-day, multi-location hunt. Also, I moved across the country and in with my gf right around the same time you moved to NC. While I had this on she goes "oh is that the Carolina guy?" and I started to say no he's from brooklyn but realized that she was pretty right at this point.

We were fishing about 100 yards in from you Friday. Right when the tide changed, right when my boat swung from incoming to outgoing, I picked up two small keepers. Unfortunately, the tide change also wrapped my anchor around a rock, and it now belongs to the jetty.

EliasVFishing Yeah my marina has had some decent 4”-5” mullet hanging around the docks.

You needed bigger finger mullet or small croaker for bigger flounder, it weeds out the dink flounder. Also chumming works well and the 2nd and 3rd hour are what you are fishing for. If you know a spot flounder stage on the incoming, chumming is good.

Aloha Elias, been watching your channel for many years, fm when you were up north. You have the worst non subscribers of any channel I view. Have you ever used gold weedless Clark spoons w/the red bead when those reds are tight in the grass? Used to use them in Louisiana with good luck. Love your channel. Mahalo.

Also, Not a big fan of reds.. intake those flounders and filet into a thin long sashimi style, put some garlic power, salt, pepper, and mirin/sake to bring overnight, then, put some Korean pancake flour dry, wet in egg, and finish off with Pankonbread crumbs, fry those up... eat with Japanese cutlet sauce...

In the backwater when it's calm like that a loud top water doesn't do well IMO. A quieter more subtle top water does better.

I noticed that eyeball bead on your live bait rig and I think I've seen them on your pompano rigs. Do you get that stuff from W.S.? Do you notice that those beads make any difference with the pompano? I picked up a few packs but haven't got to try them out yet

pk "Where have all the large flounders gone... Long time p*ss*ng" (trying to avoid a copywrite issue). 21" is okay, but the weeks before you were absolutely shattering that mark. Perhaps the downside to making such videos, that everyone else swooped into where you showed them to be? Still, not a bad day.
