It's funny how we all say the same thing "when I open a drawer it makes me smile". So true. I'm doing the same thing to a set of messy drawers in my shop. Keep up the good videos.
These are great videos. I have a question about the drawers. I may have missed it but do you have any kind of drawer hardware on them, or are they essentially boxes that you just slide in and out?
+Adam F They have no hardware. I did a video series when I was building the trailer that shows construction details: ru-vid.com/group/PLB1ATCukiUGRWcPQFFI0CBXaoniyBXRMz
+Ron Paulk thanks! I've been wanting to build a couple drawers to carry some tools and 4 wheel drive off-roading junk in my vehicle in a neat way. I've gotten some ideas from this.
hey ron, first if like to say thanks for all of the videos you've posted. they have been a great help to me as I re constructed my tool trailer. I noticed you are using the word lean a lot in your videos. I was wondering if you are practicing "lean" on your job sites, as in the 2 second lean methodology. if so, could you spare a few minutes of your time via email or phone call to give some advice on implementing that culture on your job sites. thanks!
+R Gunn I am familiar with "Lean." but my version of lean is just my own efficiency and organization. I am always looking for the shortest distance between two points;0)
You mentioned stud finders, Paul. I have bought two, and not one has ever been reliable. Which one works best for you? Are there techniques you can recommend? Thanks
+Alec BUSCEMI I have always had great luck with any stud finder even the cheapest. Many, if not most, carpenters I have worked with over the years have said they don't work. On more than one occasion, I have taken their stud finder and demonstrated it working with precision. Remember, most stud finders locate stud edges not center. Also, if they are set to deep scan, they will find water lines, etc..
+Ron Paulk Another "trick" if you are unsure about location is to use a small magnet. I always have one on my impact driver so if I need to find stud I run the magnet over the wall and when it find a nail it sticks. Not a 100% but sure does get you out of a pinch sometimes.
