Installed mines last night at my dad’s auto repair shop and I have the say the video doesn’t do justice for how BEAUTIFUL this axle back sounds. Full throttle shifts sounds like a bmw i love my rubicon so much more now. Great video man🤝
I agree brother (with the sound of the exhaust). I just did mine and I loved driving her before but I def love driving her so much more! I got the V6 MY so she def makes some nice sounds 🥳😎
I just bought one and I read one review where the guy said his showed rust only after 4 months. How's yours holding up? Thank you for this awesome video
I wish I could like your video more than just one time! Thank you for the extensive efforts and end results with the sound comparisons, so great to hear the different sounds. I am so ordering this exact product for my 21 Willys 3.6. Subbed.
Searched for before and after exhaust for JL and came across this. Subbed 👍. Just got a 23 2 door 3.6 Sport S and can’t wait to put it one on lol. Nice work with the clips and angles bro. ✌️
Got the exhaust installed a few months ago an I have to say, like others have, that the video doesn't do it justice!! From start up to shifting to off throttle (I have the MT) she sounds so good!! My friends agree as well!!
Loved the video man great explanation of the exhaust and great at showing the different angles of hearing it but I have one question. Does it sound any different between a tip and no tip?
Sounds? Lol it’s just a muffler delete!!! Nothing special here …no mention of drone on highway.. basically cut muffler off and done! Probably not legal in many places
Did this mod today. Cold start pretty loud until it warms up. No noticeable droning in the 2000 rpm range. Nice take off sound and acceleration. Will give it a shot for a few weeks and see how I ultimately like it. The hanger mounts and the pipe disconnect were a bitch. But not horrible. Will post sound when able to. Thanks again for the upload.
Hey brother awesome video I have a question might be stupid lol I’m doing this exhaust on my 2021 wrangler unlimited rubicon the 2.0L yesterday I removed the bolt from the clamp and it didn’t come lose still seems tight I pulled and turned and twisted seems like the band clamp is seized or stuck in the tight position I can’t get it loose and help would be greatly appreciated I was at it for 3 hrs sore as hell like I when to the gym lol should I use a Dremel to cut the band or a metal blade mini hand saw to cut the pipe to get the muffler out the way and just work that small bend of pipe ? I’m lost
Thank you. Blast it with penetrating oil let it sit for a while. Yes you can cut it, and use an air chisel. The new pipe will just clamp on so don’t worry too much about beating on it.
So I loved the exhaust tone. I'm thinking of deleting the second resonator to free more power. Did you feel a difference when you installed the axleback.
Save money take off the muffler. You can cut the pipe going to the muffler and bolt that back on and it’ll just dump the exhaust straight down and sound exactly like this but all you need is a sawzall. Which everyone should already have
Not really. I wasn’t looking for power gains. The benefit of the weight savings and added clearance was my biggest concern. The mean sound is definitely a great bonus.
I was wondering the same as thats what I have until my 4xe gets in I ordered it back in Oct 2021. I want to put an exhaust on it its also a turbo. I've searched and haven't come across any videos on the new 4xe's.
Not sure about the US, but here in Canada removing the muffler is a huge no no... straight pipe with no muffler instant huge fine... I see many Canadian offroad companies selling this product and similar products but neglect to inform you of these types being illegal.... so buyer beware
I gusss it depends where in Canada. I’ve had an axle back straight pipe on my hemi Durango for 3 years, much louder than this jeep and never had an issue. Looking at doing this mod on my wife’s wrangler
@@1BadVan guess it does ... but depends on the officer as well, because "all laws" in Canada since 2012 "(c) sufficient to prevent excessive or unusual sound and excessive or unusual smoke. (1.1) No person shall operate a motor vehicle or motor assisted bicycle equipped with a muffler cut-out, straight exhaust, gutted muffler, hollywood muffler, by-pass or similar device." So at the end of the day it's a risk you take.
@@CJFDexx1973 the jeep still technically has another muffler further up. So it’s still not fully straight piped. It’s not that loud and honestly don’t think it would be much an issue
I’m actually surprised. It’s supposed to be stainless. Mine is still in the same shape as I put it on. Does yours get major salt exposure? I’m actually curious because it is stainless steel and shouldn’t rust, especially within a year. Have you tried contacting AFE to see if they would replace it? Let me know.
