After about 21 days of bearing the cost of production becomes too high to continue. The zucchini plant bears less and fungus and pests pressure goes up. At this point it's best to destroy the plant before the pests become too much of a problem.
@@bradsuarez2683about zucchinis you made a comment. 21 days or whatever. I just want to understand. This plant gives fruits every 35-45 days. You start it in September & it's non stop until may. 5 consecutive harvests. I don't understand.
@@marcmillis3867 5 consecutive harvests? From September to May? Are you sure you're talking about zucchini? You're in the Northern or Southern hemisphere?
@@bradsuarez2683 Africa exactly at the limit of the Sahara. 335 days of sunshine. Summer is too hot that's why they stop in may. In winter it's zero Celsius at worst. I'm looking at what Morocco does on the internet. Any knowledge you can throw at us ? A
I would say it's something bout 50cm between a plant in a single row and above 1 meter between rows (i would say bout 1,25m). One way or the other, its pretty dense for a zucchini for sure. It does seems it works in here though. Not sure if that density would work well in more humid climate.
I would love t grow zucchini but there seems to be a lot of waste here, why pull the plants out while they are still producing? still flowering and still lots of fruit on them it seems to me??? Am I missing something? Thanks
Maybe they cultivate it in "winter" time and need Greenhouse, and work force is cheap so i don't believe that is some special expense for them, but you are right. I saw they also doing it on open field, i wish to start growing zucchini, tomatoes and peppers just for local needs. It would be so fulfilling work for me.
