Risky to rely on a 28.3 yr old airframe as your only source of revenue however the 757 is boss!! Love the livery…hope this airline makes it. Delta will have a bunch of 757s coming out of service that they can acquire.
I was in that flight and did a whole video covering the incident. They paid for a flight home, gave me a full refund well as $250 in travel credit. That also offered to give me a free ticket to fly them another time.
Wonder what’s going on now with the new branding New Pacific Airline now only flying out of Ontario and new routes to Nashville and Reno. No flight to Alaska still
I didin't expect NPA have a bad luck on Day 1. It would appear Northern Pacific Airways wants the 757 to finish it's service until the new efficient planes will arrive.
@@ov10bronco9because they are relying on old aircraft that clearly keep getting mechanical issues and they only have 4 in service. If they keep having issues, they going to lose lots in giving refunds, free tickets etc which isn’t ideal for a starting airline. Not to mention it will just deter people away. They’re promising too much with very little is one of the main issues.
Safety is the highest priority...I agree, even if they do not have a backup craft. American Airlines did it twice while bringing another craft to the gates. Kudos NPA.
They started an airline to fly transpacific, but can't even do a short Ontario/Vegas roundtrip. Not good, and not good that their first flights aren't even T/P.
Fundamentally, if they want to accommodate scheduled flights, they must acquire two or three same type /configuration of aircraft in order to rate the aircraft. Northern Pacific Airways do not have an expert of organize aviation business.
On July 7, 2023, I spotted Northern Pacific Airways on the tarmac at Ontario Airport in California. I was waiting for my flight to Denver when I saw NPA parked at a gate but there was no activity.
"Northern Pacific" needs to be flying routes... ya know... like uhhh in the northern pacific. They have no future flying random routes around the southwest, if they could actually get their business going properly there absolutely is great potential to connect Japan and Korea to the western US and Canada on lower cost flights with a convenient layover at anchorage
They should probably get some old Horizon Air Q400s and offer flights from Anchorage to Fairbanks and other Alaska cities, just to give stopover passengers more options.
"Unfortunately, those looking for the return trip were left with a cancelled flight, after the carrier needed to suspend the flight due to a minor mechanical issue. Its not a great look for the airline." Are you serious? This is a GREAT look for the airline, because they take the safety of their passengers serious and dont put corporate interest/ good publicity before it. Good for them! This only makes me trust the airline, dont try to paint this situation worse than it is.
Uber cars can be no older than 15 years. While comparing cars and planes is not an accurate comparison, the Northern Pacific plane is almost twice as old as the oldest Uber vehicle on the road.
They didn't have the funds for that and stated they plan to switch to XLR which they most likely won't be around long enough to ever get their hands on one.
