Your adjustment should be at the location where the awning is fastened to your RV. There are usually one or two screws at one or both ends where the fabric is set into a track, Remove the screw and you can then slide the whole cylinder to the left or the right. This will align your vertical brackets to allow it to close properly. Replace your screw or drill in a new self tapping one when finished.
yup, I fully agree with you Mike, if it is secured on the RV offset a bit, you need to match that, or undo all fix points, align and refix. I replaced my fabric once, alignment was tricky, and I installed the fabric backwards the first time, just to kill time.... LOL (NOT)... twas a pain in the butt job to do, alone, ladder etc.... but saves money...
I have the issue of the unit not closing too. My fabric is even and the arm on one end leaves 8 to 10 inches from closing. I see you have a lot of views on this which tells me many folks are experiencing the issue. Ours is a solera awning. I'm wondering if there is a mechanism that offers an adjustment or tracking on these things. Good information Thank You
Hi Twisted, yes after sliding it in the channel on the round part so that it was offset a bit, the awning now closes properly. The first attempt didn't work because I was trying to make it even on both sides
