This video is an introduction to the AWS Lambda console.
We create a new function and then go over the lambda console and cover the following topics:
- how code can be uploaded or edited
- logging to the console and filtering by the request id
- configuring a test event and running the function
- monitoring the function using cloudwatch
- setting and using environment variables
- configuring memory usage and timeouts
- configuring the concurrency of the function and throttling
- the function's state and whether it's a long running process
- creating new versions and aliases and then a trigger associated with an alias (using API gateway)
- deploying new versions and rolling back to older versions
