You need to try it. After you do, I need to hear the feedback. It's a fruit that some like or dislike, I like it but it lacks the complexity this American Beauty had. Brix isn't everything!
Thank you Paul for the dedication to inform us of all your progress and knowledge of your dragon fruit journey. I have found with Jade (both the white and pink) which is also a green skin, the easiest way to know when they are at full ripeness, is when the points of the bracts start to turn brown and shrivel. It is then, that we pick them and they are super sweet.
Great video, I'm looking forward to my American beauty fruiting next year! Can you do a video ranking dragon fruit types and their sun tolerance? E.g. sugar dragon likes some shade compared to natural mystic and maybe American beauty. Or maybe just share which ones seem to burn more in full CA sun
Thanks! It's hard to say... I think the temperature tolerance and the UV index are important factors. Most varieties like 75-85% sunlight and some afternoon shade in my climate, zone 9b. Some varieties like more, and others less sdirect sunlight.
My ax is yellow it was pollinated with another pollin from my friend I think another universal pollinator it has some Green but almost sorrta yellow it’s been on for a week after pollination hope it don’t fall off
