Alright dude, you have to be ready to go the next step. You need a second reactive load and a power amp. I suggest a Mesa since you're already in deep with the brand, and specifically, a Strategy 400, 2:100, or 2:95. The 2:90, Strategy 500, and 3:95 will work too. Slave the heads like massive preamps and then use the power amp after the AX8. It will sound incredible! Good stuff once more. And I have to thank you again. Your vids in part have further helped me realize just how much I love the combo of a Mark head and a Rectifier head. Honestly, while I have changed over the years, those two are probably still my top two in general. I'm near to jumping on the waiting list for the Axe FX III and I'll play with the combo when I get it. Beyond that, I think I'm going to start stashing cash for a Triple Rectifier and a Coliseum Mark head. The big heads have always been my favorites.

Man I love the sound of a good stereo rig. So beefy. You can get pretty close using just the ax8. I hope when they do release a mk2 they add a second amp block and second stereo cab block. And of course the CPU to match.

Does anyone know how would one do this 7CM method without the AX8? Just using a conventional pedalboard settup (1 effects loop + 1 front of amp loop) to achieve sharing a single 2 loops system of pedals to 2 different amplifiers to keep modulation effects in separate loop from in front of the amp. Both amps have effect loops! What device will I need? I already have 2 effects pedals that have stereo out. I've been racking my brain about this all day and trying to find anyone else who has figured out how to run the same 2 loops to 2 different amps simultaneously. Great video! Thanks!

Hey. Right now I am using a/b switch for my two practice amp and really love the sound. I do have a mesa TC 50 want to run stereo in the AX8 could you recommend a second amp? Was thinking about TC 100, Mark 5 or the orange amp any thoughts? They do make a petal to make the wavelength to be equally. If that is how it's said. Phil x uses one. Thanks dude

I believe you're referring to the Radial BigShot which corrects any phasing issues that could occur in stereo setups. If you're hell bent on a second amp for stereo, a Mark V would be an easy recommendation for me. It's different enough from the Triple Crown, but still plays nicely with other Mesa amps. My Mark IV is indispensable to me, and does everything from jazz to classic country, southern rock to 8 string prog metal. Otherwise, you could "cheap out" and get a loadbox and power amp for the Wet Dry Wet setup I demo in another video, but... if you have the cabs, the Mark series is worth the extra cash IMO. I don't have it on me yet so I can't speak to it's quality, but I will be reviewing the Mimiq doubler by TC Electronic soon for stereo applications. That may be of interest to you as well.

dude, got a question here. I want to record my ax8. I'm using focusrite 2i2 and I'm not satisfied with the preamp on this thing. I'm thinking about upgrading to 6i6 and use spdif. my question is that should I buy the second generation? or the first generation works fine? I can buy 6i6's first generation on used market Half the price. is there any benefit in second generation for recording ax8 via Spdif? thanks :)

As far as I know, the generational differences mainly include improvements to latency and gain structure on the pre amps to better handle direct guitar applications. I think the software availablity is different as well. If gen 1 can't use the same routing software included with gen 2, then it definitely isn't worth half of the newest model. I would be absolutely certain you have access to similar software as the gen 2 before you buy a used gen 1. For instance, being able to monitor SPDIF as either stereo or two mixed mono channels, plus the pre amp inputs, PLUS different mixes between your headphones and monitors is an absolute God send for me.

thanks man. the new generation's software is more user friendly :) but man I can't stand the recorded tone via its pre amp. there's definitely a quality loss happening there esp. in the low end. I hope that digital to digital conversation solve the problem

I know this is old, but the Mark IV doesn't have two FX sends--just one--as shown in a photo right in this video (which makes sense, there would be no need for two sends). So, using the Mark IV's stereo FX loop would be a 5CM, not 6CM.
