I liked these so much I bought two! High quality build and fast enough! Only one small problem I hope someone will solve: the steering servo doesn't return to center position after a turning, so you need to constantly correct for this. But I still love these little beasts!
Everyone be prepared for the pep the 2s lipo has in the dromida or anything this small. Bought my son a lipo for his and holy cow... SPEEDY LITTLE BASTARD!!! I went with lectron lipos... the charger is universal for charging ALL lipo batteries.
if y'all ever do a give away remember me I've been sick for a few years know and can't afford Traxxas but my first RC car was a Traxxas stamped back when I was able to work it was the best RC I've ever owned.
Hi guys, just subscribed, and just got back in the hobby after 30 years. Which brings me to my reason for messaging you: Can you do a video or article explaining what the real differences are between modern 1/10 scale RC buggies vs. vintage cars? I've been looking closely at both modern and vintage (as well as reissue) cars lately, and mostly, they still seem the same as they were 25-30 years ago. My biggest question about this issue is: Can vintage buggies win against modern cars at the races?
RC Street Shop Thanks for responding. OK, but why? The most obvious difference I can see is support for brushless motors and LiPo batteries. Older cars already had Aluminum, fiber and hardened plastics as materials for parts. Aside from that, what are the differences that set newer cars apart so much?
I used to own an Associated RC10 and a Team Losi JRX2 many years ago. I also had a Tamiya Blackfoot and a Yokomo YZ10. Aside from the Blackfoot, these were fairly high end units, at the time. Thirty years ago, one could already get graphite and fiberglass chassis. Aluminum, hardened steel, nylon reinforced plastics, and even a few titanium coated parts tranny were available, back then. You could already adjust camber, toe, ride height, add anti-roll bars, and many options for shocks and motors were available. As I look at the newer cars that are $300 to $500 and up, I do not really see many improvements in these new vehicles, except that they seem to support brushless motors and LiPo batteries. The new cars still have basically the same shock and suspension systems. They have carbon fiber part available now, which is similar to graphite and fiberglass, but perhaps slightly lighter (not sure of the weight differences of graphite vs. carbon) If I could already have the same shocks and suspension systems, but hop it up a bit with modern brushless motors, and use modern tires on a vintage buggy, why would it be unable to compete? Sincere question from someone who has been out of the loop for 30 years.
