You need to turn your motor plate so the overhang is opposite side as how you installed it. The pinion gear is rubbing on the plastic that is why it seems your motor is tight. I built mine the same way you showed in your video but took it apart and turned the motor plate 180 degrees and had no issue.

I guess you had noticed that you put the Motor Plate on *upside-down* !!! OR, you were testing us......
