Not trying to FUD, just speaking objectively, the axie devs should really implement a decent burn mech that can keep up with the current population's slp mint rate before even considering sending their DAU parabolic, all that's gonna do is dilute slp to oblivion and effectively run their DAU straight back down to 0. They need to understand most people on axie are there to earn a living/investment more so than play a game. If people wanted to game, there are tonnes of AAA games out there to choose from as opposed to axie. As the saying goes, if you take care of your people (community) they'd naturally take care of you in return i.e. in the form of word of mouth publicity a.k.a the "free marketing" which got their DAU growth to where it is in the first place. Truth is, axie spread like wild fire because the game could help an individual, from certain parts of the world support their families, not because the gameplay was amazing.

They got cocky for the amount of players investing. They already made Billions so a decreasing community doesn't scare the sht of out them.

Great points over all I actually think any game developing a sustainable well balanced burn mechanism will be much harder than onboarding players and going mainstream. If any team can do it... it may be the Axie Team. I'm hopeful.

@@cryptowealthonyt um, yes they did and in AXS alone. Their company is valued at 10billion dollars. On top of the AXS sales, 4% of 10billion in marketplace sales is 400 mil, 180 mil in Series # investments. These guys made bank already, it’s why they are now smug as f.

That's your bias but the other side of the coin is once origins is released and it doesn't explode like what your bias is telling, then time to pull out from the game. This game went massive because of its earning potential not really from the gameplay.

you are absolutely 100% spot on my friend. This game had an influx of players and sky mavis had to quickly adapt to it. SLP was NOT one of those priorities because of what you mentioned. They had to get every other component out before they can help with such a huge onslaught of players. very very well said

They're going to release it if they feel threatened about the decreasing community numbers. Also for announcements, they don't give their WORD. So if they do give a deadline, don't expect that they will do it. For example, Jihoz posted in Discord that there are no such thing as buffs and nerfs in Axie Infinity. Players who where FUDing to buy Metas were relieved. So they keep buying and breeding. Yet, they nerfed the Aqua and buffed the Beast. They had this Algorithm and they were pretty "confident" about this too. It is used to detect a person who uses multi accounting. With that Algo, they banned the Axies of a specific player. After several days, they unlifted the ban because it was a mistake. Lastly they said the SLP we need for the origin is "not enough". So players don't have to worry about the value of SLP going down since we're going to need a lot of it in the future updates. Then the next announcement came and Jihoz said that they plan to remove the SLP on Adventure or Daily Quest because there were too much SLP... Seriously...How can people still defend this developers / management?

@@Egoliftdaily i just threw 750$ on 3 axies 45days ago that are now worth less than 350$ . and as what i'm seing rn ... i think i got into the game in a really fked up time .. i just wish that they will do something that's gonna help improving the current situation of the game's economy .. but it's already about to completly die soon

Axie has underestimated the competition they think moving slow works in this space when those AAA titles released their games axie will be left in the dust.. It's sad cause Axie is my 1st venture in this p2e space i really wanted it to succeed. Well it does for a short while, but it got to their head fast and now it's failing in all aspect even farming ron made lot of ppl lose money lol :D I don't think origins can make that big of an impact anymore..

man thats exactly my thought and u chose all the right words, I always say they are setting it up bit by bit before releasing the massive update. foundation is the right word and after they are ready - boom all will be released. I think the only problem is people just want to know WHEN it will happen. I think that is the main problem reason people are panicking

Men 33m players BCS the game is free to play do you think 400 dollars or 500 dollars for a decent team can Afford all of average players to start the game BCS they need to pay some money if they want to start to play axie and 400 or 500 is an huge amount of money for what 1year almost 2years roi Do you think axie don't have a competition in the play to earn industry axie is not the only one gaming flat form that gives money to there players there's a lot of nft games that gives more decent amount of daily earning Like mir4 is an RPG game and it's free to play you can earn 20 dollars perday or 15 dollars in just 1 account and its free to play and it is an RPG 3d game that have guilds to play with

Without an advanced mechanic like decaying SLP, we need to massively increase breeding costs...massive reduction in SLP wins need to put in place. Such that Managers are forced to buy SLP to enable breeding to happen, Axie Origins/Battles V2/V3/whatever the new battle system will be called needs to be so radically different from the current position so as to throw out all the current Meta and effectively start almost from scratch when it comes to playing... Making the initial gains purely about blind luck in the initial axies and skill...so that only time in reveals the meta. No more purity is god bs like we had in June/July. A reduction in time to hatch is essential...like 3-4 days max, Managers and Guild Leaders need to be forced to the table and have to spend their SLP reserves for the burning Gods at Sky Mavis. It will need to be aggressive, like very aggressive to get 30 Billion SLP under control Once the Supply-Demand is balanced, then maybe...and just then can the SLP per Win increased. But we are going to have to eat a chunk of the over-supply

They have to solve their SLP issue first. Take note the number of players here are here due to slp earning and price. With such bad economic now with 33b slp in circulation. They have to solve this issue before bringing new player cause new players won’t join!!! Don waste ur money on advertising fix the bloody price of slp automatic players will join

The best growth is organically. But axie infinity can't get new players any longer now and had to turn to marketing to bring more in, cos if not the game will not survive further. It's a bet they hedge to not create burn sink for slp cos they want axie to be cheap for your average Joe to buy n play, when they launch in Google play store and iPhone for the masses. That's e reason they are not doing slp burn now. Cos if slp price is high then axie prices are high too (breeding cost) Then is your average person is going to buy an axie at $600 - $800? No way. Then they can't get more "new" players in

There’s a lot of negative comments here, and a lot of people who are like, devs shouldn’t worry about the future of Axie, they should just fix the SLP price! Which is a lot like when people blame gas prices in the US on the president. So, yeah, making the future of Axie it’s biggest and best IS what would increase the price of SLP. And it’s not going to be instant, especially if we want it to meet its potential.
