Excellent review of a new microbrand. I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of mine any day. Will never order another kick starter funded watch however. Been waiting two months now.
Zelos has always been great designs and great value for what you get. I don't doubt Axios will be the same way if Elshan is involved. And yes.....based on my channel I'll admit to my great love for Zelos. Sue me. Great video, Rob.
First time I've heard of the C3X1. Good to see they have been upping the ante. I bought an Anchor brand DIY lume set from RedRooster U. K. and have to say it outshines my C3 watches both in brightness and in length of night time legibility.
This is a great watch especially for the price point. The only thing that separates this from luxury brands that I can see is the blank dial ring. It would be nice to see some etching that I think would give it that extra zing.
thats killer. the only thing that would bug me is teh 14mm height. 13 is usually my max that wont annoy me but perfect specs. i even love the sw200 more then eta.
Great specs and price, but I'm not sure why they decided to go with the sub homage look. One of the reasons why Zelos did well is because of their unique designs. This one just doesn't stand out by comparison.
Even though it's yet another micro sub homage, this looks really good and has killer specs. Odd to consider that this thing's main competition is probably Zelos!
Really great watch BUT... just imo the Star Trek logo ruins it immensely 😞 my biggest criticism of micro brands is to stick to a simple script logo, not a weird triangle, ect.
Why haven't there been any reviews since the Prototype reviews??? Has anyone handled a watch that bought one from the kick starter? I got an email from Axios for next round pre-orders but I can't find any feedback on this watch...
I don't get it. Why are the Zelos guys branching out to make yet another microbrand instead of focusing on developing the Zelos brand itself? The answer is it's probably about to be bought by a big brand. Anyway... Looks good for a Sub homage, but I already backed Hamtun, England based micro brand kickstarter with similar price range and specs, SW200, ceramic bezel and domed sapphire crystal... only it also comes with titanium case and band. I also have the Helm Khuraburi with sapphire bezel and massive amount of lume on preorder. And neither of them are sub homages, so I'm gonna pass on this one.
Zelos makes watches that put some Seiko models to shame from price to build quality. Everything lines up too, no hollow end links always uses sapphire crystals, not the Hardlex garbage.
