This made me realise how big Teyvat actually is. It never fails to impress me how there's a literal world inside a single game.

Say what you want about Genshin but the world they made sure is beautiful, I hope one day they connect everything and remove those empty zones in the middle

The only game where you can enjoy watching a 7 minute video of someone just walking/running and travelling through the world of Teyvat and genshin impact. Such a beautiful, unique, expansive, nostalgic and instantly recognizable world they've built and it is just the start! Seeing certain locations reminds you of the fun times and memories you yourself have created and experienced there. Other games all look and feel the same like it has the same template and geography has no real difference but every region of Teyvat feels unique and with it's own culture and lore. Exploring the geography and world is one of the most fun things to do.. I can't really compare it to other games, not even Skyrim generated such feelings for me, except for perhaps a few indoor areas in some parts of the game. But the outdoors, nah. Most of all it just feels lively, cozy and a place you want to visit and chill and relax in if it was real. Even the characters all feel lovely, even the supposedly "bad" or "evil" characters. And all of this is for free! You don't need to pay anything to enjoy the game or explore the world. Bravo Mihoyo, bravo.

Now imagine being the everyday npc. They have to make this journey with no teleports

Seeing Ayaka walk to Fontaine is a blessing. I loved this video, very emotiona. The character development was amazing, the plot twists were unforeseeable, and the betrayals were heartwrenching. The ending was sublime, this truly was a masterpiece. I would definitely rate this video a modest 12/10 (+2 points because Ayaya). This is exactly the kind of content I'm on RU-vid for. I went from Mondstat to Fontaine through Chasm, no teleportation of course. And Thanks to that I get Early Yelan!, it was a pain to just use walk all the way but when I reached Fontaine it was satisfactory

it may not be the actual method of Ayaka traveling to Fontaine it is just way to get their without teleporting, but i think actual Ayaka has to book a ticket to take huge ship from Inazuma and travels to Fontaine directly, it'll take her from inazuma, and then sail around Natlan, and sail past the sea near the desert part of Sumeru and then into fontaine's ship port right before the waterfalls, and then take the elevator, and then take the tour boat to ride to Fontaine.

Most sane Ayaka main on the way to get that drip to impress Lumine.

Real talk though- The Genshin map IRL would be not much bigger than Manhattan. It's feasible that that journey (which is probably around 20 kilometers or so, could pretty easily be travelled in a day or two.
