Thanks so much Kei! I completely agree, this is a surprising little handheld! I also hope to see LED control within the OS! It would be nice to have the ability to change the LED’s based on the game profile. We shall see what the devs do! 😁

Hi! I’m sorry to hear about your audio bug! I’ve heard of this being an issue on some aya neo devices. Try to update using the “beta” firmware under system settings. Hope that helps! 😁

Hi, congrats on the purchase!! 😊 Some of those are definitely within the limits of the device. I get about 35-40FPS running simpsons hit and run via PCSX2. Dead space runs at 60 with the resolution turned down, San Andreas runs at 60fps full 1080p via steam. I think you should be fine if you’re ok with adjusting the settings. Call of duty is pretty hard to run, as any emulation past PS2 will be a challenge. I recommend upgrading the Ram to Atleast 16GB, then allocate 3GB’s to video. You will see a considerable performance increase after this.

I used JELOS via a USB C stick. I haven’t ran into any issues where the bios is being overwritten. I’ve bounced between windows and ChimeraOS without any issues. I will say between Windows. Chimera is better suited for this device. JELOS absolutely does a fantastic job for emulation, if that’s all you plan to use it for. Chimera does pretty good for emulation as well. I’ve been using emudeck on it, and it’s been great! Close to the same experience I get on my Steam Deck.

@@dastimRETRO thanks for the quick response! to bounce between windows and chimera how you set it up? Divided the internal storage in 3 partitions: windows, chimera and the third one for the games? And then how you switch between the two of them? Also with chimera how you access bios settings to set up the boot order? Sorry if I ask you so many questions but I want to be 100% sure of what I can do before spending the 300 bucks ahah

@@Tonno7 No worries! 😊 To access the Bios you have to hold both of the unlabeled bottom buttons while powering the device. Keep them held until the Bios screen appears. From there you can select the boot order. I keep windows on a flash drive, which is how I’m able to boot between it and Chimera. And no problem, I’m always happy to answer questions and help when I can. I will say if you’re in the market for a primary handheld gaming console, then a used Steam Deck would still be a better value. I’d really only recommend this device as a secondary or as a hobby to tinker with. It will require ALOT of patience playing with settings. It’s fun getting AAA games to run on it, but sometimes it’s also frustrating. 😂

@@dastimRETRO i have a gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 RTX 3070) for my primary PC gaming and an Anbernic RG353VS (vertical gamboy style handheld with analogs) to play games till Playstation 1 and dreamcast. I was fascinated by the handleheld world especially Linux and I was searching an horizontal one that could play till ps2/gamecube and I came upon this device which fascinated me since it can run the light indie PC gaming I would not play on my laptop since I play AAA games there (and I have plenty of indie games in Steam many of them barely touched). What you would suggest? Isn't the steam deck a little bit too big? That's the main thing it's keeping me back from the deck and for the price but I'm seeing it's possible to find some nice offers for used steam decks.

Hi! I attempted, but sadly I couldn’t get a playable framerate even at low settings. 😭 I got around 12fps.

I personally think it makes some games run much better. Subnautica and Farcry 3 being a few!

also does if it can only run this os does that mean it can only run steam because if so i am confused on how you are running emulation

Hi, I’m afraid I’m having trouble understanding your question. I’m using a program known as emudeck. It allows emulation directly through steam (Chimera OS). There are plenty of games that are capable of running at 30-60fps on this device. You just have to become familiar with, how the settings work, and be willing to keep your expectations low.

thanks for the reply i see how i confused you i didn’t know that it was through steam. do you think that you could give me a game running at low settings and around 30 fps just so i can compare im thinking of getting one but im not too sure yet i need to do further research thanks

and if i do decide to end up getting one would you recommend that i install this. sorry for any confusion but i was try to say that can you switch into the main emulation page and steam but i answered my own question and learned you cant

@@AloneNoLifeYou can adjust the emulation settings in the desktop mode. I can’t think of any “one” game that will run at 30fps on low in particular, there are so many. Here’s an updated list since I’ve uploaded the video: PS2 Emulation: Ace Combat 4: 25-50fps Dark Cloud: 60fps Time Splitters 2: 60fps Time Splitters Future Perfect: 30-60fps Medal of Honor Rising Sun: 40FPS Mercenaries 2: 30-60fps PC Games: GTA4: 19-30fps (low) American Truck Simulator: 60fps (low) Amnesia Dark Decent: 60fps (low) Fallout 4: 60fps (low+ 640x480) Half-Life 2: 60fps Hellish Quart: 20-35fps low (720p) Please note, you will have to take the time to experiment for what works for you.

Linux operating systems, or chimera in this case, generally have alot less overhead compared to windows, making it more optimal to use over windows for gaming especially with lower end hardware where it cripples the system. It's also much nicer in terms of having this look and feel like a console
