I worked at the old County Hotel Wellington Square 1976-1978 loved Ayr loved the area have revisited many times and brought both my daughters there for a holiday. The summers were especially fantastic memories hope it gets back to its glory days.
I live in Ayr & know it well. You did a very good job of filming the town under overcast skies. I hope you will make another video of the town when the sun is shining & the skies are blue. When it's warm & sunny I am glad to be living in this beautiful part of the world. Thanks again for your well-filmed video of my home town.
Its a nice town for its archtitecture etc but its shops are like most of the UK and plastic fronted and with a lot of charity stores , and closed premises . It has a sad tired look about it and needs reviving . I bet it was really lovely back in the 1940s ,50s and 60s. But modern chain store and online shopping has killed it.
