You haven’t been through the conclusion of the accident. It was a mechanical failure most likely the steering wheel column which was modified before the day before the Grand Prix to allow senna to be more comfortable in the car. Even Newey said that this column modified should never had been put in the car. He lost the car in Tamburello corner which is the fastest of Imola circuit and surrounded by a concrete wall in the middle. Basically he had a couple of second to react before the car hit the wall without steering wheel you can imagine how little his chance was at the time to make it alive when his car hit a concrete wall around 220 km/h
@@Alexlegrand294 Italy's Supreme Court said its decision to re-open the manslaughter trial over the death of Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna 10 years ago was reached due to flaws in the original acquittal decision by the appeals court. The court stated it was necessary to establish if, and by whom, "the steering column was erroneously and/or inadequately modified"; if "such incompetent modification caused the breaking or the steering column, a 3000 PAGE technical report submitted by Bologna University shifted the emphasis back to the steering column. Led by Professor Enrico Lorenzini, it stated that the column had been “badly welded together about a third of the way down and couldn’t stand the strain of the race… I believe the rod was faulty and probably cracked even during the warm-up. Moments before the crash only a tiny piece was left connected and therefore the car didn’t respond in the bend.”
