I feel so much emotion when I watch your hikes. Thanks again. I have been doing duolingo for Spanish now for 89 days, It is so easy to get hooked and not want to mess up your streak. I am impressed you have managed to keep up your streak on trail!
Well done, ladies! So nice to see your completion of this trail. I’m always so impressed and inspired by your strength and determination. So fun! I’m just back from walking the Cotswolds Way, 102 miles. Nothing as strenuous as what y’all do, but it was your inspiration that got me out there walking.
Hi ladies! Oh you both looked SO COLD on that frosty morning at 9,000+ feet! I just wanted to reach thru the screen and hand you both a steaming hot cup of soup. Out of food, cold, hungry, sore - but you made it! And the food at Jacob Lake looked super good. Beautiful sights along the trail. I love your sentiments at the end of your videos; get outside, find your wild, sleep outside, etc. As an avid camper, I can second all of it. 30 more miles and you're there! Finished! Take care.
“Be uncomfortable” you typed in your ending. Yeah! You were So cold that morning and Still smiling. You were pretty hungry and still smiling. You guys are my role model for positivity in the face of adversity. I would not have been smiling! I would have been a grumpy cat and yet you filmed When I would have been so Cold I would have said screw it until I was warm! You two are Amazing!
You guys!! Bravo! I could tell that was a tough leg. I'm impressed at your fortitude. My whine factor would have been so high. Especially with the cold and lack of food. Keep on keepin on.
My mother and I stayed at one of the small cabins at Jacob Lake 40 years ago. That Cafe had great food. But there was a Super loud and long thunderstorm all night. Thanks for bringing back happy memories with my late but great mom. She has been gone for 14 years❤
Thanks,as always, for sharing your journeys with us. What a treat to see you guys do the rim to rim of the Grand Canyon! You truly show how doing hard things are most rewarding and you finish what you start!
I still say that this is one of the most beautiful, albeit painful, treks that you shared on the channel. I could see Annette's wind burned face and remember how uncomfortable that is. The journey continues... Thank you for taking us with you. 💕
Another amazing day with the Wander Women on trail. I trust you enjoyed your well deserved meal. Food was clearly on your mind! Thanks for taking us with.
We have backpacked the Grand Canyon three times. By far the worst is hiking in. Who knew hiking down hill for 9 miles could be so painful? Feeling your pain. You two are so inspirational and awesome! Good to see a couple if older gals out there crushing it! You do!
Your resilience and positivity is above and beyond! The champion ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter talked about the “pain cave” and said, “It feels like this is a special opportunity every time it arrives because we can’t summon it whenever we want. We have to be doing something hard, push ourselves, and then maybe we will get the chance to go in. And if we do, we should celebrate that we get to be there.” You two truly know (and teach the rest of us) how to celebrate the ability to go into the pain cave and do hard things. ❤
So amazing- your drive is admirable! I thought the highest point on the AZT was Miller Peak? I'm going to section hike soon, and I'm intimidated by that first climb!
One of my fav videos along with last one. Scenery was stunning. Crazy y’all had snow. Kudos on rim to rim. My friend did it last year and said hardest thing she ever did.
Gosh you two just push through those tough times with a smile, wow. So glad to see you have a nice hardy meal after all that cold weather. Almost done!! Thanks for bringing us along.
Here I go again: YOWSERS! What role models you two are!!! I saw your AZ Trail trip morning conditions w/ frozen tent and white, icy scenery- I had to get my long john top on just to continue watching!!! YOU.BOTH.ARE.SO!!! FREAKING!AMAZING!!!! I laugh, thinking, I cut my first on-site visit short with my granddaughter last month at her college in MN because of the active weather w/ thunder and lightening, not to mention biblical amounts of cold rain. And here you are CAMPING in conditions much colder, and I am pretty sure I heard thunder, and suspect lightening in your video! You not only risk getting fried by electricity; you’re low on food for the next two days AND you are in freezing conditions. Have you ever heard of the Corps of Discovery or the Oregon Trail? If they ever come round again I recommend getting in line to sign up. You definitely qualify. And here you both are: smiling and chatting through the entire ordeal. So glad to be motivated by your investment to succeed on this adventure. What will you think up next????
You two are crushing it, as usual. OMG, I'd be crying with that cold. Hope your legs are better today. Your burgers looked good too. Take care, be safe.
Congratulations you awesome wandergals! A bakery for you!! Nettie, there are small heel supports you can find, inexpensive with a gel just in the heel center. Blessed rest!
You know, I was wondering if you could see the Aurora borealis out there? I’m in central Washington state and it was spectacular on Friday night. This year is supposed to be epic for the aurora borealis!! Are you planning on trips that might put you in the north? The pacific northwest trail may be for you!
