The ending was great! I’m 68 n tried carrying more in my pack to help train for summer hikes. Oh not ready for more weight-I need that drink! Love u guys! Happy trails
😂😅The ending was hilarious! I’m laughing out loud while trying to cook dinner.🤣. Great to see Mary Poppins again, too. Hope the weather cleared up and you got new equipment.👍
Hilarious Pesky "visit"! Please don't drink anymore of her potion because one Pesky is enough. Love seeing y'all hiking again and hope you find the groove so it isn't so tough.
Such beautiful camping spots! I love Arizona! Thanks for taking us along. I need this hike. I remember the beginning of your other hikes and you struggled each one. I know it will get easier.
We (Young and Younger) had to leave the trail at Pine last Wed due to an injury. We met Mary Poppins and her friend earlier on trail when they were going sobo from Roosevelt. Lovely, friendly woman. We will enjoy tagging along with you to the northern terminus.
Kudos to you girls. We are hiking similar distances on the Vía de la Plata but with 1/2 the weight in our backpacks! And we are tired at the end of the day at 64 and 71 years old, respectively and we are not having to filter water or put up a tent! Looking forward to the rest of your journey❤
So great to see you both out on another Grand Adventure! Such a beautiful trail! And there is a lot more water than expected . Good for you! Thank you for taking us along again.👍
Oh my goodness guys, The video itself was great! Loving the adventure. But the ending, the “Pesky old people drink episode “was great absolutely fantastic! I had to re-watch it over & over! I laughed my bootie off!!! You guys are so stinking creative. You made my day!
Loved this video, full of humour, real moments, cameraderie and great scenery. Hope you be kind to your bodies, maybe think about a few less miles per day for a bit. Wander women are awesome.
Those look like nice campsites and scenery on the trail. Those frog choirs would be fun. You are doing big miles, no wonder you are a bit tired. Fun with Peskie
You two are rocking it! 🎉🎉 I enjoyed watching you hike the same section I hiked last week. Your 2nd nite spot was the same one I chose after climbing up the rim. 😊
You guys have made my day, even Pesky! Did I hear her say 'trojan'? Haha maybe her name is actually Frisky 🤣 Loving the views along the AZT. Awesome on doing up to 19 miles - about twice as much as I could do at this point. The frog choir! Gosh I miss backpacking and camping.... need to figure out how to get out there again and make it happen.
😂 Oh Pesky!! Cool trail. I’m amazed at all of the fresh running streams in AZ. I grew up on the farm and those ponds looked pretty iffy. Not sure I could have drank from that even with filtration. I know what cattle do in that water. 😮
Laughed out loud on the treadmill watching this one ..strangers staring 😂😂.. PS, Kristy you getting out of that tent on that cold morning and arising from a full deep squat was beyond impressive! Me, it’s a crawl to slowly stand maneuver!
You started with sunny, clear weather until the snow. Nice time to be in a cabin. The visit from Pesky was funny, you two are so much fun. You might be "older ladies" but you're out there living. I'm so happy to be on the trail with you again. Take care, be safe.
Your videos: Eye Candy for the Soul. Thank you! A few random, well-intentioned pearls: The secret to keeping on - just keep keeping on… not necessary to concern yourself with getting old; we are all getting old. Your version appears amazing to my eyes - you obviously keep on keeping on! Now about that failing thermarest - I and my fam are finding similar problems. Ours are REI vintage - wonder what’s going on… re: snow, I thought I was being rugged out driving in it during my 6K miles recent road trip. Here you guys are Hiking in it! Revel in your dauntless spirits! And finally, other than admiring you for layering up when the going gets tough, I appreciate your flexibility in being ready to revise the plan when elements beyond your control call for it. Keep on keeping on!
Great video! Loved the skit. Glad I am not the only one feeling my age on trail. Did 32 miles on PCT and felt sick most of time. Getting my glucose levels checked at 71 not taking chances.
We are in New Mexico now and Tuesday heading to Catalina state park. You are the reason we are here. You both have inspired me to get out there and see things. We are from Wisconsin and have fallen in love with the desert so I thank you for your inspiration....love you both.
You two are hilarious- I laughed out loud! But honestly, way to get out there and keep at it. Plus it's great you have friends to help you weather the storm and rough patches. Hang in there! I have total faith you will hit your stride soon.
OMG I saw the murky water before you filtered it, I was thinking NO, don’t drink it! Then it was clear after you filtered the water. I think I would be sick. God Bless you both. I love watching your videos! I am 68 and love the outdoors but not sure my knees would make it. So I will enjoy your journey! I love the Pesky drink! LOL.
Hi ladies, Oh, that was funny drinking the Pesky drink. You both became Peskies!!!! HaHa. But great mileage and what s pretty trail. Nice that Mary Poppins and friend could join you for a while. A little fatigue and soreness for you both, but you'll get your trail legs back at some point. Great video, thanks for taking us along!
Wondering... how did that funky cow pond water taste? Also, wonder how many calories you are eating per day, roughly? If you know. So exciting to see you're back on trail. Your videos motivate me to do my weight training...
Ladies whenever your pack feels heavier than expected you'd do well to see if Pesky is lurking about. She is not above distributing some of her pack load with you and for goodness sakes don't drink anything you haven't made yourselves.
LOve seeing you out and about again. May I make a suggestion? Too much down, not enough up. Too much trail, not enough outwards and 360 views. If you are going to take us, we'd like to see what is out there, not just the trail. Thanks. Boogie On!
