Incredible build, Lou. You found two great engineerings solutions to the constant internal lighting power and screen accurate rotation. Thanks so much for the three wonderful tutorial videos!😀
The use of a 1/4” jack to run power, And suspend the model, was an Inspired choice! I was imagining a slowly tangling length of wire building up as the piece moved!!
Superb build and imagination. Of course I think most of us would like to see it lit to bring out the surface as much as possible...maybe just a flashlight would do that. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to do a light blackwash.
That’s a great build. Using a 1/4” jack as an axle is a genius idea. I was looking for a similar solution last year to make my Vader TIE Advanced look like it’s spinning out of control and thought the only way was a slip ring but this would have been much simpler and cheaper. The advantage I have with a slip ring is that I could run the motor spindle through the middle so I can have the TIE on a stick, but for your build I like that the motor is adding some extra support for the model.
