I knew a kid in high school who we called "Baldo" because a sibling ripped out a patch of his hair. The name stuck and his parents and even grandparents started calling him that. He was always cool about it. I sometimes have to remind myself about his real name.
fun fact about chiyo's voice actress according to wikipedia: "In fact, it has been reported that her voice is capable of producing sounds at a frequency beyond that of human hearing." WTF?! O_o
That's gotta be bs, this was 12 years ago, Wikipedia wasn't half as reliable as it is today, I bet whoever edited it was making a joke about her high pitched Chiyo-Chan voice
@@Jack_Woods its within the realm of possibility theres a american voice actor whose voice can go the other way, going so low that its outside the range of human hearing
The infamous "Osaka Hiccups" scene. BTW, Chiyo's VA, Tomoko Kaneda, was only 5" taller than Chiyo. Tomoko is only 4'9". She is also listed as having the highest pitch human voice on the planet. She can make sounds beyond human hearing. She is also a delightful person.
more amazing is that most of these actors are still doing roles today, except for Tomo's (who had the most potential in my mind) and Chihoro. i actually got to meet sakaki's VA, yuu asakawa, at anime expo a few years back and had her sign an original azudai portrait. i even watch her twitch streams during the odd hours lol
@@CAT-yq7ok OH MY GODDD?? The universe is crazy sometimes wtf😭😭 but I love Yuko she was in an idol group called AKB48 and was one of the- if not most popular member! Now she is an actress as you know now! But that’s seriously an insane coincidence
4:35 The interviewer is really asking Kaneda san if that's her actual voice while laughing. Chiyo chan would have asserted her dominance then and there 🤣
I always found this clip fascinating. Put glasses on Yomi’s seiyuu, add a few inches height to Sakaki’s, and you could pick out who’s who without hearing a word.
14 year old comment :0 a friend of mine in middle school never developed a "deep" voice after puberty. He had the same voice from 6th grade until 12th. We're almost 10 years removed from highschool and I ran into him at the grocery store and he STILL has that same pre-pubecent voice. It's strange because he's clearly a grown man (albeit short - 5'5) but has a middle school boys voice I've also met numerous woman who have very high voices despite being clearly grown woman. I found it strange at first then remembered my friend from school. Some people can "develop" "deeper" voices, (much like a voice actor manipulating their voice to create different sounds) it's just more comfortable for some people to use their "normal" voice which just happens to sound higher pitched
Yotube recommending peak after 15 years ---> POV : I Just watched Azumanga ep 2 today and seeing this makes it more special. Jp Seiyuus will and always be special also Chiyo and anime and irl feels the same.
That's so cool, I would love to see seiyuus working with the voice stuff up close and personal :D I really like the one with the attitude shirt, I like how she talks
I checked the original interview and its true... its says than a recording of hers cant be heard since its beyond 20 hz... its recorded but we cant heard it, awesome.
I can't believe Chiyo-chan's voice actor actually has that voice in real life!!! But I guess it would strain her voice too much otherwise. Also, I wish Osaka's voice actor used her normal voice. I think it's too high-pitched in the anime.
omg. chiyo's voice is so small.. haha and so is with osaka.. i found the Filipino dubbed of Azumanga Daioh cute too, like this... the real main attraction in that version is Osaka, because she didn't have small voice, she have this crazy light calm voice which seems impossible. hehe
@Zeruel4891 Actually, there is quite a lot of debate about that. In her bio, it said she grew two inches because she "increased in stature." She has been listed as being between, 4'8" and 4'10"...trust me, I have met her...she is tiny. I'll stick with 4'8" :-)
