Approximately 70 Soldiers from the Alaska Army National Guard, B Co., 1-207th Aviation returned home to Alaska at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport today after a one-year deployment in support of Operation New Dawn in Iraq. While in Iraq, their mission entailed transporting high-ranking dignitaries throughout the theater of operations via UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. They logged about 4,000 hours of flying during the deployment.
