I haven't heard the S2s, so I couldn't say. For double the cost I can't imagine it is

Having returned my s2 after 90 days (have to love Best Buy) for the s3 I can say the differences are subtle but appreciable. The biggest selling point for me was the new design/form factor, especially the plinth. If you can afford the s3 they’re worth the premium.

Stereo (Germany) gives 81% sound quality to the S2 and 90% to the S3 ....

I went with Focal Aria 936s made in France, couldn’t spend all that money on a speaker made in china🤔🤔

I think it is a Marantz Model 30 ( 100w x 2 @ 8 ohms ) or Marantz Model 40 ( 70w x 2 @ 8 ohms )

Sorry, but I don't believe there is one brand the best. Allot of brands are good. It is just the taste of the person what sound they like, and what brand comes close to there whishes. So dynaudio is s very good brand like bowers and Wilkins and like Klipsch and so on
