Maybe when packing up, leave the back legs down & use the tongue jack to lift the mill then retract the front legs for travel, hook up to vehicle & the back legs should be free to put into travel position.

Why did your client want so thin boards, they are gonna crack like crazy while drying? I once had a costumer who wanted 30mm boards out of a 175cm ash, I didn’t do it 😂
