Baarle-Nassau/Baarle-Hertog 

Thanks for doing for walk with us, borderhunting. I'm going to Baarle myself later this year, and you've made me all the more curious.

Kudos to you, I've always been fascinated by european borders. I'm going to Europe for the first time and my goal is to country hop. This place is definitely number one in my list. Thank you.

Lovely video, well done. When you were filming on Klokkenstraat, you were only a stone's throw away from where my mate lives. Nice town, with borders that don't correspond with one another. It's a good, centralized location, too. It's 120 km/75 miles to Antwerp, the same to Amsterdam, as well as Schiphol Airport.

I just spotted this place on google maps. It's really weird. There are even enclaves in the middle of fields with absolutely nothing in them. Crazy, but fascinating nonetheless. I'd love to visit someday and find out more about the place. :)

Belgium and Netherlands are both part of the Schengen agreement - the border is pretty much completely open

The most beautiful border is when you drive on the highway from Visé (Belgium) to Maastricht (Netherlands). Everybody can see the difference between Belgium (French-speaking part) and the flat Netherlands.

Say someone is sitting at the table at the restaurant from around two minutes in, and they got up from their chair, tripped, and fell on the ground on the other side of the border line. If they were injured by the landing, could they still sue the restaurant, seeing as their injury technically occured in another country?

To included your last shot in this film: it wil be confirmed: The Netherlands do thake care of there auto-ways. I hope the Belgium can learn about us.

I'am from The Netherlands. If you can see the "weirdes" borders in Baarle-Nassau en Baarle-Hertog, I visited this town too. The Belguim claimed some parts of them, so the Netherlands too. You look at Wikipedia to how. But this "border-chaos" made a mass into today. Look at the illegial goods there were selled into the Belgium to the Netherlands (like illegal fireworks, etc.).

This is like crossing US state borders, but they're are country lines! Awesome Europe!

the roads and sidewalks are all managed by the netherlands though.

in the past the ducht restaurants close early and the employes move the tables to the belgium side of the restaurant hahaha

Belgium would give up these exclaves in Baarle very easily and it would not be a problem, if it intended to do so. But then, this town would lose a tourist attraction.
