@@perseus9428 If I remember right, it's because they take a stream/creek and create lakes, which makes the water more widespread and increases the ground water instead of just cutting through the land like a stream. Which also causes a huge bloom of vegetation. All this makes the land less hot and dry.

Ok, this was my favourite GeoBeats yet. I've always liked Beaver for all they do to help our ecosystem. I know farmers usually don't want them building their dams which may block water used for irrigation. The sweet baby sounds they make are heart warming. It was funny seeing beavers with your cat. As a former wildlife rehabber myself, I found this refreshing to watch. When I did the work, orphaned baby raccoons were my special favorites, though I also took all sorts of other mammals and birds. Raccoons mature and want to go off on their own at about 18 months. It was always hard to let them go, but I lived in an area with lots of forested land and streams, so they'd sometimes come back and visit.

It's so sad and shameful that their home was blown up. That is what happens when humans destroy other creatures' habitats without caring what happens to them or their homes. So cute and funny when the rehabber, was bottle 🍼 feeding one of them, and took the bottle out her little mouth to burp her, how the baby beaver looked puzzled as if saying excuse me! I was enjoying my bottle time. 😂😂😂😍🥰😘😘 so stinking adorable 😍
