@@judgmentalshoelace9264 Man, I know the original video is from Jack Stauber, but I wanted to say that the video is very well done to have only that many views
This captures the surrealness of Jack's work perfectly. The use of old PSA footage really sells the vintage look that Jack also tends to have for some of his videos. It is a wonderful muaic video
i absolutely love how creative this is and how much it relates to jack staubers work, the psa you used for some clips on this was soo creative and the childish looking artwork as the background in some of the clips added to the surealness of the style of this music + music video
I don't often post comments on here, but I just had to talk about your video. It's incredibly well done it's mesmerising. We can clearly see the Jack Stauber's inspiration but yet you still managed to put yourself in it and your art. To be honest words aren't enough to describe how beautiful it is clearly a masterpiece I'm impressed. Bravo !
thank you for the kind comment! this was made for a college project a few months ago and it makes me so happy that people are still finding and enjoying it!
0:08 I literally had this image in my mind when I read the lyrics for the first time...every slide shows the true meaning of the music video.. Amazing work keep it up man!!
The story behind this is that a woman idk if he knew her or not but she called a suicide hotline (a suicide hotline is for preventing killing yourself) they put her on hold and when they called back she already killed herself When he said "I'll go back outside and see your okay" means that he would go outside and see her collecting quarters Hope this helped
Yeah, Jack Stauber never confirmed it, and never said that, though the song may mean that, Jack Stauber hasn't confirmed it, so for now, that is a theory.
I come to visit this song once in a blue moon From what i understand, the song is about a woman being placed on hold by the suicide hotline whilst calling from a payphone- My theory of this with lyrics from the song,,, i feel like this is kinda how the story went- (Just my theory of it- would love to hear the official one though-!) I feel like it was a woman who had a terribly abusive husband,, and finally decided to put an end to it,, so she got a gun and shot her husband, and planned to shoot herself- so she left in a panic and made it to a payphone where she calls the suicide hotline The hotline then goes on to put her on hold multiple times (or just once but for the rest of the long ass call-) And in that state of mind, ends up basically having a conversion with herself about all of her problems (meanwhile the whole convo is a delusion, and shes practically still not in her right mind) And by the time the hotline picks back up,, you can hear the gunshot going off,, implying she took her life I also have the thought that maybe this is all the POV of the suicide hotline worker, whom is taking her call- and hearing about all this stuff,, so seeing the visuals were given are just kinda what the operator had in mind of what the woman on the other end looked like- and what the situation looked like- ultimately the operator couldnt talk her out of it and we know what happens,, but now the operator is scarred for life or smtj/ Hope you enjoyed reading my personal takes on it! Lmk what yall interpret it as
The phone ringing at the end gives me chills if you'd know what happened, but still you did a fantastic job I really do feel like Jack stauber style of music.
