We have so few women pilots in the US. So many of my female friends graduated maritime academy with their licenses and sailed, and yet it was their spouse who became the pilot.

Look at that, amazing women doing amazing jobs, operating large, powerful machines & systems (including the largest cruise ship on the seas); Captain Kate maneuvering the ship like she’s playing Mario Cart in her cabin; a woman jumping off tug boats to board a moving vessel; women operating rocket ship systems and recovery…. All these fantastic jobs, powerful careers, dangerous positions full of responsibility, and…. accomplishing all this while ALSO being able to have a family! Getting married, having children, growing our world and contributing to all of our futures! This is what is empowering, this is what “strong women” look like - and it looks like they’re living their best lives. It’s not for all, nor am I even suggesting that, but with todays young women…. my daughters generation of young women, shouting out how it’s okay to have slept with 100+ men by the time they’re 25; or being empowered because they’re a single mother with 4 children from 3 “baby daddies” and “don’t need no man” and they’re doing it all alone… Ladies, please, that ISN’T being a ‘boss b*tch’. What you see with the women in this video, THESE women are absolutely being “boss”!! 👍🏼 ☮️ time for all to heal ☮️
