In this video, I introduce my pet baby turtles to my big pet turtles. Skittle and M&M were a little small and the big turtles thought they were a snack. Thank you guys for watching!! Follow me on Instagram- thefishwhisperer1
I thought my 2 inch big turtle(3 inch now)would be slow... After they had been right next to me and when I looked away they had ran and wound up on the other side of my room under a pile of boxes. Now I know not to look away from speedy gonzales!

I mean giving them fish pellets before showing them the baby turtle that is approximately the same size, shape, and colour as a fish pellet was probably not the best way to go about this.
Yea same here, but I kinda doubt they could’ve swallowed the bigger baby turtle, I’m no expert but I don’t see them being able to crush the babies shells.
Agreed. This guy is very careless about how dangerous this is for the baby turtles. Even if the adults can't brake thier shells they will still probably bite and whether that kills them or not that is not good.
exactly! was about to comment same thing, I checked off screen the second before that so I saw baby turtles and when i looked back the large turtle bit down on something. I nearly had a heart attack! I legit grabbed my chest to calm down
2:31 Love the way Tank stops and stares at you after he grabs the food. He does this a lot, he's not shy like some other turtles, he just thinks 'Yo cheers Bro, my human friend'. Tank is cool!!
Skittle and M&M must have gotten PTSD from their encounters with the big turtles......either than, or they had nightmares of being like Jonah inside a whale....
@@HeShoeTooBig most reptiles abandon their young almost immediately so if they see a baby turtle then they have no parenting instincts so it's not surprising. Alot of fish also do this on sight because they don't want the turtles to grow up and eat their young.
As a turtle owner, this does put a smile on my face. After a day full of online school activities, nothing makes me more relaxed than seeing turtles being fed...
The turtles associate your hand to food, hense the attempted nipping at the little one. Keep doing your thing bro, we all here appreciate the relaxing content.
Yeah, this is true. They dont actively seek out smaller turtles for meat. And if they do eat baby turtles, its either because of a territorial dispute or unknown stress factors.
him: let's introduce turtles with a new baby to see their reaction. turtles: whatever....just give me the new food that you have brought , at least something different than fish pellets him : its not safe to put babies with them
I like how as soon as they take a pellet from his hand they quickly scurry back into the water to eat it. It makes me laugh and smile every time. (I realize they have to go under water to eat, but still)
i was smiling at the baby turtles and i cannot tell you how FAST my smile disappeared when i thought the first fish pellet you fed the big turtle was a baby one omgggg LOL
For half a second in the very beginning I thought he had a baby turtle in his hand and a larger turtle grabbed it to eat. Got my heart going long enough to realize he wouldn’t do that! ❤️🐢
