Great question! So it's not perfect, but Babybel cheese wax technically could be used as sealing wax if you wanted to, I just wouldn't recommend it. 😅

Modern sealing wax incorporates resin/plastic in the wax mix so it has that traditional snap, while being a bit more flexible for modern post handling.

Would it have a better consistency if you melted it then poured? I wonder does a looser wax melt faster and the body of the wax stayed behind with the wick

Add a little paraffin to your wax , it'll harden up a little

Iirc, babybel wax is paraffin wax which is an ingredient to sealing wax.. so youd have the paraffin and its also dyed for you

The wax would harden almost immediately, so I don't think so. Sealing wax is super cheap on Temu, so I'd get some from there
