⚡ 💕 / 🌟 ✨ This is my favorite song in the trilogy. BABYMETAL have used 'Arkadia' both as an opening song and as a closer. It was part of a great two song encore in October 2019 at the LA Forum of 'Shine' and 'Arkadia'. That was the first time either had been played outside of Japan. 'Starlight' was performed earlier in the show. The last time they had done an encore before this one, was when I saw them at the 2017 Palladium show in LA. What's a little sad, is that some folks had already left the Forum after 'Road of Resistance', and the "We are… BABYMETAL!" call and response, since "they never do encores". Although the studio musicians on BABYMETAL tracks are often uncredited, Kami Band member Leda Cygnus played guitars and bass on the 'Arkadia' studio track.

Another great reaction, thanks! "Arkadia" is my favorite from the "Trilogy of Lights" but only because I'm a huge power metal fan. Although "Shine" has an special place on my personal favorite list. This is an amazing song with fast tempo, uplifting lyrics, a beautiful guitar work and impressive drums. So it goes directly to my top 3. Great reaction. The Trilogy of Lights just takes you on an emotional journey culminating in the positivity and optimism for the future that is 'Arkadia' ... but 'Shine' is my favourite of the three songs - it very quickly found itself right up among my all time favourites.

#notacult just love for live. Fav. of the three is Shine. It's the tiping point of the griev when you see the beauty of the person you have lost and start your live again strengthend with what that person gave you.

Nice reaction. Positive vibe song. Dig the smiles on them while performing this. Shine the performance with just Su and Moa is so strong and emotional. A performance IMO they could not have done when Yui was still with them. They had to go through all the things life through at them to make that happen. As they said it made the connection between them stronger and it showed in the performance.

Another great reaction, you are truly one of the best reactors; no hype, no hysterics, just an honest option and reaction - refreshing. Which son of the three depends on my mood, with "Arkadia" or "Shine" vying for ichiban and "Starlight" always number three. The version of "Shine" which captivates me is the Legend M version which is sung as a duet. It wouldn't have the same impact if Yui was there (sorry Yui fans). The purity of Su and Moa's interaction is what grabs me. Su stated that while their were not actually holding hands departing the stage, they were connected heart-to-heart. Moa said no one truly understands their relationship. Such a strong bond and trust is so rare these days, which is what draws me to "Shine". "Arkadia" speaks to me during the dark times when I need the message of hope and moving forward despite everything.

The one I replayed the most was arkadia, followed by shine. What is my favorite? It depends on my mood!

I really like this song, I think it has real big Dragonforce vibes, even more than Road of Resistance which Herman Li and Sam Totman featured on. I tend to gravitate towards music with more sadness and anger in it but sometimes you need some hope injected straight into your ear canal, you know? I think the trilogy of light as a whole is fantastic and a great example of breaking from the standard song by song approach. It's reminiscent of the movement structures of symphonic music, first, second and third movement. It's not unheard of in metal but I always like it when it's done well like this.

Su-Metal can emote really well, this is actually the song of hope. We are all looking at Moa but not the one you are taking about. I think Moa-Metal damages my heart these days. I think Arkadia is the City of Light where there are "No more tears, no more pain, no more cry"

You made it, Sebs, and I am glad you did the Trilogy of Lights in the proper order, good stuff, and great reaction as always! While "Arkadia" is probably my least favorite song of the Trilogy, it is still a great song with an incredibly positive message (like so many other Babymetal songs). I think the video's soundtrack was from the Metal Galaxy Day 2 show where Babymetal was supported by the Western Kamis. Anthony Barone on the drums sounds so different from Hideki and gives the song kind of a different vibe but outstanding musicianship nonetheless; he is a monster on the kit. I need to check your previous BM reactions before making a suggestion but I enjoy them a lot.
