Su's "death glare" is legendary. She just turned 16 the day before this concert but it is often commented that Su looks so much older as soon as she steps on the stage. Watching your face during these reactions is almost as much fun as watching the Babymetal. Brilliant. Love what you have to say and again your genuine emotions tell the whole story.

Crazy thing is that at this time, Suzuka Nakamoto was a little bit of an awkward dork. but Su-Metal was already a Rock Goddess. The most amazing difference between the real person and the stage persona that I have ever seen.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!' is indeed a classic. One of their early hits. It was great to finally hear it live last year on the US tour. The Kami Band members for this concert ('Legend 1997') were the late great Mikio Fujioka and Leda Cygnus on guitars. BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. The members names are Su (pronounced like Sue, but with a slightly longer u sound), Yui (Yoo-ee) and Moa (Mow-uh).

Hi Patrol Gaming! I think "Headbanger!" is probably my second favorite BABYMETAL song. It's about a girl going to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday. You are absolutely correct about Pikachu-san being in the audience, he goes to pretty much every concert still! When I saw BABYMETAL in DC last year in September I was talking to one of the bartenders and he said "Did you see the pikachu out there?!", I hadn't yet, so I told him "Oh, he's here? Oh yeah he goes to all the shows!" You can even see him in the proshot of BABYMETALs first US arena show at The Forum in LA during "Road of Resistance", he was in the middle of the wall of death taunting everyone to run at him! He's a legend.

Great reaction. You won't find any backstage stuff from recent years. There is a documentary of their first overseas trip to Singapore in 2012 that showed them sightseeing and just being themselves and there is a lot of stuff from their days in Sakura Gakuin (Babymetal formed as a sub-unit of that group), but most of it pre-dates Babymetal separating from SG in 2013. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday - it is a sort of coming of age thing.

That was a great watch once again, thank you! Obviously, with time you get used to the BABYMETAL ways, nevertheless they always manage to surprise you again and again. I have been a huge fan for about 2.5 years now, but the latest album has given me quite a few WTF moments again. It's awesome! We basically have no info about what's going on backstage. Back in the early times we got some documentary stuff and we know a lot about Su, Moa and Yui through their shows they did in Sakura Gakuin (the idol band the originated from), but nowadays they are basically just on-stage personas. I would assume that apart from rehearsals and travelling while touring the girls have very little contact with the other band members, but who knows. Once you get deeper into the foxhole, perhaps you'll even dive into Sakura Gakuin a bit and get a better idea about them that way. Hi Patrol! I love watching reactors go down the Fox Hole and seems like you will be another one! I know this might be hard to believe, but I don't even think these are their best performances; you'll have to go outside of RU-vid for the best stuff but we can deal with that when we get there. For now, I recommend BABYMETAL DEATH (from the Legend 1997 concert) or Rondo of Nightmare w/ Gods of Mischief intro. The two dancers/screamers are Moametal (she has noticeable dimples when she smiles) and Yuimetal (who left the group in 2018 due to health reasons). Moa is now 20 years old and she is still full of energy! Regarding your question about how they get along off-stage, there are two non performance videos you can watch...one is of the drummer making goofy faces at Moa, I believe, when she has her back to the audience and the other is of Su's graduation. Yui and Moa went to school with her and Moa bursts into tears and begs her to not graduate. It's really sweet. Also, of course, as I noted in another comment, the bass player has "Happy Birthday" written on his head as I think this performance was on Su's birthday.

I love how the first time, you as a newcomer hear the girls saying Headbang in a cutesy way, you just don't get it... But after the whole journey that is the song, when it ends with the same Siren in the background and the girls saying headbang is like they, at that point, have earned your respect and you are most likely headbanging at the same scene you thought was cringe when it first happened. It's a pretty crazy feeling and every person that i have shown this performance end up the same way...

If you haven’t yet I would suggest checking out LadyBaby for funzies, they are part of the genre and the bloke (he does the vocal growls generally) is a fellow Aussie, he was originally a wrestler and was wrestling in China I believe, anyone who is more knowledgeable than I are welcome to correct me on anything about LadyBaby as I am not dedicated fan of theirs, I can’t quite remember how he ended up in a baby metal band in Japan. At any rate there music is pretty good, so yeah I would recommend looking them up.

The growling is on a backing track. At first it was only the girls and they had everything except Su's singing on a backing track. Now nearly everything is live except little things like the growling and techno effects and stuff. I think maybe if there is piano that is on the backing track? I never saw anybody playing piano. It's harder for the Kami band because of the backing track. They have to play each song precisely. My understanding is that they have a click track that keeps time for them. It makes sense for the choreography too. Some of the early songs sound different now because they're done with a live band. Better.

hey scotish friend :) i wanna suggest you something (sorry for bad english, my first language is german) first: try out Babymetal - "BxMxC" or "From dusk till Dawn" it is different, but heavy as fuck! like every babymetal song. 2nd: give "doll$boxx - take my chance" a chance. it is kinda pop rock metal industrial. they passed their peak like 5 years ago and i dont like this band like it is now, but this song is something you should have seen if you like being blown away. 3rd: pls stay in EU! i like scotland and braveheart is one of the best movies of all time! see you n_n
