I noticed in the comments scrolling on the video that someone said this was from the Tokyo Dome, but it’s actually Yokohama Arena and, in my opinion, a superior venue for the crowd interaction. The way these girls connect with their fans is incredible! Both Yui and Moa have said it was all they could do to not just start gleefully waving to everybody!💪🏻🤘🏻

Standing in line for a Babymetal concert was an experience that reminded me of the song "Beautiful People" by Melanie. That's the vibe these sweet but dedicated and talented girls and their great band generate.

There's another female rock group out there that might be more to Wolf's liking. It's called Band-Maid. Don't be fooled by the name or their outfits, they really do rock out. They also play their own instruments, and they're GOOD at it. I mean REALLY good. Marty Friedman, the best guitarist Megadeth ever had, is a huge fan of Baby metal and even tried to talk Dave Mustaine into trying Baby Metal style album as a condition for him to come back to the band. ⚡ 💀 💕 / ▲ That combination of metal and positivity is really something. The video has footage from two back-to-back shows at Yokohama Arena, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. The first night they debuted the song, the second night they flew over the audience. It has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version, which is what they usually sing in concert, even in Japan. Moa admitted in one interview that it was really hard to stick to the choreography, and not wave to all the people below. : ) This song goes on quite a bit longer in the concert footage. The pyramid has to travel back and get lowered to the stage.

For those "yard animals" that dont like or get Babymetal, you are the problem with society!! your short sightedness has beseech you.... Every Babymetal song is a positive song...there is no songs about relationship and heartbreak...drugs or abuse... With diverse genre and talent...at this age born in 97 and 99.... the hardest rockin talent, played at Budokan (by invite only) twice...first time in 2012 Ozzy was there and bought a ticket to the show.... this reaction was the purest form of creation...its not a sad cry ...but a joyous one !!!

As a Babymetal fan since 2014 I always get choked up at the full English version of this song. Heck my fiancee got choked up when we saw them in Nashville and she doesn't even like them that much.

Welcome to The One. They have another ballad that maybe Wolf should avoid if he's had enough of 80s style ballads (No Rain, No Rainbow ... HalfLifeSistah, you will love it, especially the performance from Su's 20th birthday shows, Legend S it can be found on their official channel). Can I suggest Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Bullying, No More, Forever) live at Sonisphere 2014 - their first appearance at a major festival outside of Asia, Megitsune (official video or any live performance), Headbanger! (live at Legend 1997 - Su's 16th birthday celebration or live at Budokan, Black Night), Karate (live at Download 2016) or BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997 full version) for songs and performances both of you might appreciate equally.

Okay, I subscribed to your channel when you first took down Megitsune and did RONDO just to wait on more BABYMETAL reviews from you (I love the moment people finally "get" it.) I am a 54 year old metal bassist and have been in bands for 40 plus years, I am a serious musician and I love BABYMETAL seriously. In fact their my favorite band! I'm glad you stuck it out and did the official video. What Wolf needs is to watch BABYMETAL DEATH Legend 1997, he will have an "oh" moment for certain! (Trust me Mam', I'm a metal musician...) HalfLiveSistah.... you get it. You just explained why many of us are Babymetal fans, even if some of us don't even understand it. If you have the opportunity, for your personal enjoyment, check out the Tokyo Dome version of The One. It's actually intended to be a much longer song. The front half is a song called Tales of The Destinies, which is Babymetal's interpretation of Dream Theater, which merges into The One. The live performance of Tales of the Destines and The One may even bring tears to your other half. It will certainly impress him. :) And there is yet another version of The One, which is the version they started performing at Legend S, which starts with the unfinished version and merges into the Metal version.

I, for one, am a fan of Babymetal and often rock the t-shirt my wife bought me. I own their first 2 records and jam to them quite often. I really enjoy listening to it.... I tend to eat more chocolate though...(Hey Wolf.... I Need That Shirt!) Gotta go listen to The Vapors now...... (I mean that in a good way) As Mikey Muir from Suicidal once said, "just cuz you don't like it don't mean it ain't no good".... Peace!!!

Glad you got back to this song! Recently they started playing a version that starts like the one you heard earlier and then ends like this one. I love the visuals of this video. It makes me so happy for the girls, it must have given them a great sense of achievement and reward for their hard work to be floating above a sea of thousands of people that love them. It captures perfectly what the song is about, giving to each other and feeding off each other‘s appreciation in perfect unity. It‘s a pity Wolf didn‘t like it. But perhaps you could at least enjoy the visuals. The good thing is, BABYMETAL have something for everybody. If you choose to listen to another song, perhaps try something heavier. I could imagine you‘d enjoy „Akatsuki“ or „BABYMETAL Death“.

The professionalism and the guts it takes to perform over a crowd in that rig; gul durn. I'd like to see HLS react to some female led alt/indie/riot grrrl/punk like Sleater-Kinney, Screaming Females, St Vincent, PJ Harvey, etc.

There are several recommendations here for a band called Band-Maid. You should definitely check them out. They are very good. As you can see from this comment section, some of their fan-base cannot seem to promote their favorite band without a thinly veiled childish backhanded attack on Babymetal. They are clearly low class but don't let that discourage you from checking out Band-Maid. They are great and a lot of Babymetal fans love them.

You should check out Band-Maid , an all female rock band from Japan. They came together by chance and a truly amazing band was born. They write it , compose it and play it. They are without a doubt one of the best new bands today. They are at their best live.

If you get the chance, check out the live version of Tales of the Destinies that segues into The One, at Tokyo Dome on Dailymotion. The One grew out of the riff of Tales of the Destinies, which is is so prog metal that Dream Theater even said it is better than their work. That Tokyo Dome performance was from a 2-night show they did, which they sold out both nights. The Tokyo Dome seats 55,000 people. so 110K for both shows combined.

Jpop is really fascinating. If you can think of it, there likely is a jpop band mimicking or using it in their band as part of a theme and going to absurd lengths making it really weird and fun. I mean there's guy Ladybeard who's a crossdressing Australian who sings for a Jpop band. It's pretty incredible.

You are so right about Babymetal, it's really the only metal group I know of that isn't about death, destruction, and suffering. Positive metal that makes you smile! I’m way late here, but I still need to comment. :) This is my very first time listening to Babymetal (Baby Metal?) and I can see the appeal. This song is a very lovely ballad to me. As to this band’s place in the the metal genre and community, I can see that this band may be an access point to metal for a lot of people who have never given metal a chance. The beginning of the song is an especially good introduction to the sound of metal guitars, bass, and drumming, and the overall feel of being surrounded by music, much like massive classical music pieces can wrap you up and carry you away. Big, heavy music has the power to do that for so many of us. Once someone has experienced that feeling of being almost absorbed into the sound, it becomes almost addictive and you want more. There are several songs that have done that for me recently, including Garden of Earthly Delights by Apocalypse Orchestra, Coming Home by Falling in Reverse, Stardust by Gemini Syndrome, Bible by Ghost, The Greatest Show on Earth by NIghtwish; point being, as someone who has left Christianity and has no religion, music is my god and big pieces that almost obliterate you and take you out of your head and personal emotions into a larger place of being connected to everything and everyone purely by the sound, those are the moments when I am enraptured by my god and I realize now that even in church as a young child, it was the music that moved me. Old, triumphant hymns such as How Great Thou Art always filled me with the same feeling of being grabbed out of my body and thrust into the heart of the energy of love. I’m rambling, I know. 🙂 Essentially, Babymetal could be the doorway for many people to that sound which can lead to that experience, that transcendent sense of oneness with all that is. For that reason alone, although I can’t yet say that I’m a fan of the group, I can say that I deeply appreciate what they are doing and how they are probably gently pulling some people into the metal community where there definitely is a unique assurance of being part of a whole, a family, a oneness. Well done to these girls and whoever is behind the scenes helping them to get their sound out. Thank you for sharing your reaction. Although I didn’t cry (as I write this, it’s too early in the morning for me to be fully connected to my emotional self), I know why you did; and I love you for it. I get it. I’m with you. Music is our god and this song brought you into the heart of that “entity” in love and rapturous wonder. I often go there as well and wouldn’t attend any other church than the one that music continuously constructs. ❤️

By the time I watched your video, they're no longer 3 member on BM. You take me flashback. I remember so clear by the time they still on Sakura Gakuin on 2010, and BabyMetal created only as a project club by 2013. Glad they still managed to hold their popularity until now, hence Yui Metal cannot keep up with BabyMetal anymore. But Su Metal and Moa Metal will gladly continue their legacy and remembered that BabyMetal will always be 3 of them
