I've just received my Bachmann Rusty from Tootally Thomas in the UK and couldn't wait to make this video for it. Overall I am pleased with Rusty, but i do have my gripes which I mention in the video. If anyone has a good idea for an accurate classic series face to replace his CGI one, I'm all ears!
As mentioned in the video, much of the rolling stock in this video were made by me and are sold on my Shapeways store. If you have any questions about it, leave them in the comments. If you want to see more of my Shapeways stuff, I have some videos out on my channel about them, or else you can go check out the store for yourself!

Rusty is so tiny and cute but I'm glad he's in scale with his irl counterpart. Seeing Rusty next to the Hornby Stepney is so surreal... I wish more now that Bachmann would release a Stepney too... Could you imagine?

People say that the Bachmann slate trucks are too tiny and more sisimilar to n scale than ho narrow gauge and they are correct, but if you are getting the Bachmann Rusty than I reccomend you getting the bachmann slate trucks. If you ask why, well it is because Rusty's size is quite similar to the Bachmann slate trucks.

If Mattel has its way, we might not be getting anymore narrow gauge merchandise! Ever wonder the narrow gauge engines (except Millie who kind of doesn’t count since she works on the Earl’s estate and not the Skarloey Railway) haven’t had an episode on their line since season 18? Well it!s probably because, according to the wiki, the Skarloey Railway was seen as “too obscure” by Mattel to be apart of the modern franchise. By this logic we may not see anymore stories about the Small Railway engines or even have the Culdee Fell Engines’ stories seen the light of the television screen. This would probably mean no more returnees either. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

a good face to use for rusty is the capsule plarail face. it may be fiddly to remove it as im pretty sure its part of the cast. so good luck with that

The face is the perfect size for a season 4 accurate Rusty. What would you recommend with the length situation.

The face is actually too big for season 4. Maybe season 5, but certainly not 4. I dont think theres any way to change the length apart from adding or removing the couplers if you so wish
