@@Morbius-Tension It really is both the writing and voice acting working together in perfect harmony. The show completely embraces Steve Oedekerk's brand of unapologetic "stupid" humor and I love it for that. There's also written jokes I could see falling flat if they were delivered poorly, but the show has such great acting and comedic timing that nearly everything lands.
Back in the day, when we had comedy in its purest form "You've been fired from your job so you can't pay the bills and by the way your wife is leaving too" will always get a chuckle out of me
@Allnyta Basic stories they told but they did it well. Always enjoyed Barnyard movie and Barnyard TV show. Never played the games. I never liked Planet Sheen though, too stupid, gross, and lacked a point. I like the comedy of the Barnyard show because it's random but funny. Besides SpongeBob it's like the only Nick show that mastered random humor.
Its like they said: 'there is absolutely not enough material to fill three episodes much less a full season. I'm going to the bar" and then they went to the bar for the next month until a season of writing was made.
@@Allnytathat’s why the show the only animals there are the main characters LOL, they all got killed by the main characters’ stupidity. Don’t know how the farmer didn’t notice that he went from having hundreds of cows, bulls, pigs, horses, dogs and sheep to only like seven animals left but okay🤷♀️🤷♀️
1:03 fun fact: the guy who voiced the duck also does the voice for Flats, Patrick's dad and the tattletale strangler in Spongebob. For an even bigger surprise, he was also Biff from Back to the Future.
I legit almost cried hearing his voice again. He's been in cartoons I've watched all my life. Tbh, even as a kid, I thought his voice was weird, but I loved it so much.
Nice!! I love that episode, and I especially love the remake that was done for the film version. That one got so disturbing while at the same time being funny and weird, that's Joe Dante for you.
No but why were all the 3D cartoons so unhinged. This show absolutely blew my mind with its humor. All the running gags, random events and occurrences, no character was off limits to getting ripped on, witty 4th wall breaks, and overall nonsensical plot. This and Jimmy neutron were just amazing shows.
It is 3D isn't it?! A lot of old cartoons with 3D usually don't stand the test of time, but this animation still looks really good imo. It's also not extremely overwhelming with colors or backgrounds like cartoons today.
@@squilliamfancysoniii a lot of the assets were pre-made from the movie, so they didnt need to worry about spending time making models from scratch and could spend more time making the animation look good instead
I actually think I heard somewhere that some of the crew of Jimmy Neutron worked on this show (O Entertaiment made this show I think, they also helped produce JN)
Back at the Barnyard is my comfort show to me. Idk why, i just love this show. Also Freddy and Peck are best characters in show and you can't change my mind.

Are we done pretending this show was bad? Like, seriously. I don't get the hate. Oh, the male cow had udders. Big whoop. That doesn't make the whole show bad.
7:47 “Treats?! We love treats! Say some words quick!” “Zip it stomach, that will get us exposed.” “Oh exposed. I’m so scared. Take the stupid treats! 9:20 *Otis being a wacko* 14:26 “Shearing time.” 😂
2:26 I always love this scene. Bet you this is what happens when a fan of high school musical forces their friend to watch every high school musical against their will 😂
I vaguely remember watching back at the barnyard in spanish ( I was in spain), at 3am, in the middle of a thunder storm about 9 years ago. It was truely the moment of all time
I love random little moments like that that you for some reason remember forever LOL. I remember watching one of the Stuart Little animated movies with some cousins at a party (it was the one with the Boy Scouts and the skunk voiced by the same guy who voiced Mushu) when I was maybe 8 or 9. There’s no reason in particular I should remember this since it was just a regular day but I just do XD
I know how that feels, my 10 year old brother loves to annoy us with this dumba$$ memes and keeps singing that you disgrace of a song, I hate modern internet!! 😡😮💨😥
