It’s not an S ranked show tho it’s legendary for nostalgia but there are better shows with plot, the fight sequences aren’t that good. I would say remember the gohan goes to school arc, great saiyaman you cannot give the show an S just on that arc alone.

Easy S. The 1st 2 ep world builds then every ep after ends on a twist/ cliffhanger. The suspense and battles are on point the show hits the ground running. The only slow part was the school festival w/ Lulu chasing the cat that had his mask and even that arch had good suspense. CLAMP dropped the 🎤

I’m going to use death note for example, I just recently watched it and declared it the best anime of all time and what it does better than geass is showing and not telling. When Kira or L do some crazy shit they show you then they tell you it with some crazy ass music maybe someone getting killed or someone being a hella smart genius. In geass it would just be lelouch saying he did something plus geass has multiple plot holes, questionable marketing/Fujo baiting, weak character and some wasted potential but it’s still very amazing and worth watching
